Alternatives to eggs?

Thanks to all for your advice in my thread on not being able to drop any more BF, I'm going to take all that advise on board and fingers are crossed.

My following question my better in the diet forumn?......

One thing though - I can't stand eggs, I have tried pinching my nose when I eat them - I have tried makeing my my mind think they are another food - yet they still make me gag!

What are some good alternatives to them that I could try in my diet?

Also any ideas on food that I can quickly pop together during the working week? I'm so shattered by the time I finish a day at the office and the gym after work that I tend to slack off preparing anything for the next day - and my cupboard is more stocked with cans of tuna and salad stuff (quick and easy things with low preparation involved)

My standards are grilled chicken & top round steak, fish on the GF and 99% fat free lean ground turkey. Albacore in water is always there in emergency. Have you tried making an omelet or something out of your eggs? I use the egg whites in the carton - they scramble good with thawed frozen or fresh broccoli. Then for some flavor you can throw in some tamari sauce (non wheat) or salsa. Just a suggestion. But I usually grill some chicken & steak 1-2 x/week because I dont' have the energy to cook the night before for meals and I dont' have time in the morning -- so I just keep a bunch of stuff ready to go. If I can stick it in tupperware w/ spinach or broccoli on it w/ some no cal salad dressing & a pre-sliced sweet potatoe or some brown rice, then I'm good to go. I pack 4-5 meals with me every day because I never know how late I'll be at work. I rarely go out to eat and I don't actually take a lunch - just constantly eating at my desk. We do have a microwave at work. I keep everything in one of those soft-side coolers w/ the ice packs so I don't have to hike to the kitchen & hope no one stole my food.

If you are having trouble w/ time prepare your meals on the weekend.. I always take 1 day over the weekend and make up a bunch of chicken, lean red meat and so on and just put it in containers and stick it in the fridge..that way through the week all I have to is grab it and go...When your in a rush that is when you tend to grab the wrong kinds of foods so be prepared. Have you ever tried just egg whites??? There is really no smell to them...I usually make 6-8 and put some salsa on em...or just a lil bit of salt and pepper. I also may put them in my protein shake or my oatmeal..w/ some falx oil..sweetner, and cinnamon..You just have to try mixed combinations and go w/ it...When eating you are not going to simply enjoy everything you eat all the time..you are eating to fuel your body so remember that.

I usually dont buy steaks...I get Lauras Lean beef..or just plain old lean ground sirloin..I make it into patties and put em on my George Foreman grill, season and put into containers...when I heat them up later in the week they are fine.

You can get it at Krogers....just a brand of lean sirloin..really good. that make it up to like 96-97% lean.
