Alternative Breakfast carbs.

I just started a cutting diet and i'm not a fan of oatmeal. What about English muffins? I'm sure they aren't as awesome as oats but are they okay? I believe they are 180 cal, 0.5 fat, 25 carbs for one. I ate one today plain.

What else can provide good carbs in the morning? I've heard brown rice is good for carbs but is it good to eat it then?
 
Beans are a carb source, too...
fruit, tomatos are high in potassium...
try some non-sugary bran muffins

I think fiber is important, so just try to find something with fiber. English muffins don't have much fiber.
 
I hate COOKED oatmeal. So what I do is put it in a blender with water, soy protein, blueberries and natural peanut butter. Blend on high for 2 or 3 minutes while I am finishing ironing my clothes and it's ready, and the oats blended in and I can't even tell it's there.

I can't choke down cream of wheat probably but this might work. I only have whey protein at the moment, and it's chocloate and tastes like shit in water, will that work?

Hopefully the PB takes over the flavor

Yeah, the whey will work fine. I use whey post workout, but like the soy in the morning. If it tastes bad in water, try using 1/2 cup skim milk and the rest ice water. I already have all the carbs I need for this meal with the blueberries, so I use water. Oh, and the whole thing tastes like peanut butter. It's really good.
 
well protein is good, but if you want something to make up for those carb cals you could try brown rice like you mentioned, or if you want to maybe a banana or something, most people think fruit is a def no no when dieting but as long as you dont eat too much fructose in a day which you wouldnt be with only 1 banana i think you will be fine and what matters most is your total cals so you will be fine. or if u really want u could go with the english muffin, not the greatest choice as mentioned already but like i said as long as your total cals are ok with 1 ok meal and 5 solid meals you will still do just fine.
 
For breakfast lately, I have been eating my eggs, which I get tired of very easily, with Bran'ola toast. I squeeze some Fleischman's or Parkay non-trans butta and some Smucker's Light apricot jelly sweetened with NutraSweet (5 grams of sugar), and I shit you not, this is one of my favorite meals.

I just love that Jelly...ummm ummm! It really helps me get down the eggs.
