Alternate thougts on cholesterol

Here are a couple interesting links. I have heard from time to time rumblings of people who think that high cholesterol and heart disease are unrelated. These links elaborate a great deal on that. Please keep in mind I am not saying this is a fact. Just some interesting reading and a different perspective on cholesterol. Thoughts on this welcome.

Cholesterol can be controlled fairly well with a good diet. I eat lots of EFA's and fiber. And IMO, there is a correlation between heart disease and cholesterol -- it just seems the two always go hand in hand -- direct or not I don't not, however people who have heart problems usually have bad cholesterol.

I just got bloodwork done in week 14 of a 14 week cycle that inlcuded accutane throughout.

My LDL was quite good, and HDL was just out of the normal range (31 I believe -- range was 40-79). All in all pretty good for 14 weeks of madness with accutane to top it off.

Only supps i'm taking are a multi, milk thistle, NAC, and polisocanol(helps with cholesterol).

But that said cholesterol is a serious thing and shouldn't be fucked with. Bad cholesterol at age 25 won't cause a problem -- but you can bet if it gets out sink for too long it'll cause a swack of problems later on in life.
