Tough to go through life with fryer tuck head.

My daughter has it, and it is in remission right now. Just looking for someone who may have an older child and if it reurned.

Now that is rough on a little girl...sorry bb.

I had a co-worker who developed it later in life. (mid twenties). She lost almost all her hair in a period of about 3 weeks. It stayed that way for awhile (maybe another 3 weeks) then started growing back.

I did a little research and I guess you just never know. Sometimes it comes back, sometimes no.

Yeah, I've researched quite a bit too, but I have found that is seems you always talk to people on the net that has the worst case scenario, because it seems like those are the individuals that need more support.

My daughter developed it and lost about 75% of her hair last summer. We weren't sure what the cause if it was, becasuse it has been linked to stress. We started treatment which made it worse. We then quit all the meds. and also had my sister babysit her during the day instead of a family friend. Once we changed the enviroment she was in during the day, her hair began to grow back and it is now 100% regrown....and no sign of her having it. I was just curious if anyone knows of a child that developed it and if it returned, because it is one of those diseases that can be in remission forever, or return. She is getting ready to start pre-school and I am a nervous wreck that it will return (if it does we are going to withdraw her from the school). I have a feeling it won't because she seems very excited to go to "chool", and her personality has changed so much since last year. She is much more open, and we are able to leave her with family without her getting upset.

Well I guess enough of me venting...just had to talk about it.
