Allergic to food?

One of the kids that our neighbor watches at her daycare thingie ate some peanut butter yesterday. You guessed it: insta shock.

Kid was just about blue by the time the ambulance go to her place, they administered insulin and some massive antihistimine dose. By midnight the kid looked good as new and was home by 12:30.

Scary? HOLY SHIT!

I cook for friends all the time and playing the odds I will prolly kill someone with some funky allergy at some point.

When you go to someone's house for dinner, do you mention your food allergies, if you have one/some?

How many of you are allergic go foods? What kind?

I think he mentioned that he is allergic to everything but refined sugar and pork rinds.

though i am not allergic to anything other that moneysuckingfloozywomen i am lucky enough not to be allergic to any foods
that would suck
but being in the restaurant and catering biz as well as a culinary instructor i have had to deal with food allergies constantly

what does not make sense is why go to a chinese or italian restaurant if you are allergic (so they say) to garlic???

if you are one of the few people that are deathly allergic to any type of food, wear one of those bracelets, carry a frigging epi pen and benydril (for milder reactions)
i keep benydril at the restaurant since we have a patio and bees and wasps love food and drink as much as we do

personally when i entertain i always ask
i also ask preferenced
it is embarassing to serve a meal and your guest is eating only bread and veggies
