Once a punk, always a punk. I remember his incident when he was in high school in Virginia. He was all over the local newspaper when Former Governor Wilder granted him pardon when he was doing time for a felony in 1993. Always knew he'd get in trouble eventually.

are you from VA?

BTW this whole charge on iverson isnt' going to stick. There's no real evidence. besides you know he'll have some good lawyers.

he'll probably be proud of that and frame it in his living room

theres a good write up about Iverson, if you go to MSN.com and check out the homepage, there's a link to it.

He looks like he stayed up all night smoking some serious chronic and maybe even some other stuff.

He looks frayed.

Yup, I remember when he was a rising star over at Bethal Hill high school (sp?) His being released from Jail sparked converstavry all over the state and stirred up race tensions among black and white people. I'd like to find out the true story behind Former Governor Wilder and Iverson. Wilder couldn't have let him out if there wasn't anything in for him. If Iverson's trouble was a one time thing, I would be fine with him. BUT it seems like Iverson has a knack for getting in trouble and he simply doesn't care about his image or his doings.

Sure, I know he had a hard life when he was growing up and nobody cut him any slack but c'mon. He's at the top of the world right now and he pulls this nonsense? Please.

Thats a bad picture of him, but he is so damn fine....................Mmm Good!

Yea I will have to go along with the statement that I cant see why in hell girls think he is so damn fine, as BronzedGoddess put it. I too am from VA and can remember all that shit when he was in high school.

yeah he would be so much finer if he was missing a tooth or something sexy like that!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LOL I was thinking something along those lines as well. Or maybe if he had a huge booger hanging out of that huge nose.

Who Cares??????

However, I do find it interesting how basketball and especially football seem to attract all the looser. While other sports such hockey seem to have a much more tame crowd.

When was the last time you heard of a golf player get arrested for dealing crack?

hahahahah

bro, go to espn.com and find his stats... he´s really 6"0, 165lbs... but he´s very very talented... And despite not being that hot, i still can see why many girls find him hot. He´s not a beauty, but he´s good looking!

I said that picture was bad. but on tv he looks really nice IMO. But what do y'all care if I think he's cute or not? Get over yourselves!

I've been hearing about his unfortunate incidents every since when he first hit the local news in my area. In 1993, He was convicted of maiming by mob from a bowling alley fight and was sent to prison for five years. Guess what? Ol' Governor let him out. Then again, in 1997, Iverson was speeding a in car with friends on Interstate 64, near Richmond. The trooper who pulled them over searched the car and found a .45 caliber pistol on the floorboard, a marijuana cigarette under the front seat where Iverson was sitting, and another joint in the back of the car. Iverson was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of firearms with a controlled substance (the firearms charge was dropped due to the small amount of pot).

Woo-woo. Trying to live up to his bad boy image?

Here's another incident regarding an airline he used to travel to Los Angles:

Iverson reportedly asked for another drink as the plane neared Los Angeles. He was told drinks were no longer being served, as the plane were preparing to land. Eyewitnesses say Allen angrily responded, "Why, you racist? Is it a racist thing? I don't know, the white man over there got a drink! Racist!" Once again, eyewitnesses say he repeated, "400 hundred years! 400 hundred years! I've been hanging, still hanging, man!" To send the message home, he reportedly added, "Damn, that's f***ed up!"

What such a gentleman he is!

Let's not forget about a rap album he made. As I recall, his following lyrics was:

"Never mistake me for a fake MC/You got the wrong identity/Nigga, I’m CT/Get murdered in the second and first degree/Come to me with faggot tendencies/You be sleeping where the maggots be…. Now I’m reaching for heat/Leave you leakin’ in the street/Nigga screamin’ he was a good boy/Ever since he was born/But fuck it, he gone/Life must go on/Niggas don’t live that long."

He sure didn't have much supporters with him when he released that album and was forced to change his lyrics. I think he just need to grow up and stop being such a baby. I simply don't like him because he is a punk, period. Take his basketball talent away and what do you have? Just another common punk.

If he's hot i'm Fabio.

I find it aggravating girls think he's hot too. Not out of jealousy, in my case it pisses me off how girls are so easily swayed by media fame and money to actually make themselves believe that some dog ass looking people are actually "hot".

Face it, if this 6 foot scrawny ass piece of shit thug came walking by any of you ladies who think he's hot on the street and he wasn't famous you'd be scoffing at him and yelling rape as soon as he came within view.

Oh yeah. I was thinking the same thing. He doesn't look crisp, that's for sure. I doubt he would have pissed clean if they'd popped him.

Exactly.

LMAO!!! So true.

You know who this reminds me of? Fred Durst of Limp Biskit. Not that Durst is a piece of shit like Iverson, but there's nothing physically attaractive about him...still lots of girls think he's "hot" because of his money, fame, and bad-boy vibe.

Cracks me up.

I'm 25, chief. Old enough to recognize shit when I see it.

I don't care how much money he makes or how good at ball he is, he still acts like a turd. Read KHMER ROGUE's post.

Jealous? If I want to be jealous of an ass-getting male celebrity/pro athlete with money, I'll be jealous of someone like Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Alonzo Mourning, Denzel Washington, etc.

Yeah, I'm jealous of a guy who can't make it to practice on time, beats his wife, has been arrested on numerous occasions, can't carry on an interview, is homophobic, and has a bitchy-ass mom who embrasses herself on TV every time she opens her mouth.

LMFAO!!!!!!

Hey! Lighten up, fellas. You can't worry about what women feel about a guy who is attractive. Being upset about who women find attractive sounds like jealousy to me, and jealousy is a trait most commonly found in women. DO YOUR THING!! Stop worrying about who "she" thinks is cute. That's just rediculous and juvenile. By the way, G-King, I'm not trying to get on you, bro, but 25 is YOUNG. Enjoy it while you can, bro.

Like I said in an earlier post, he's only hurting himself. His problems in his home are exactly that--in his home. The police are handling it, and as I was home listening to the local radio station for Philly and South Jersey they reported that him, his wife and child/children were all out ,in public, together...

Iverson signs autographs, soaks in cheers from fans
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Associated Press

CAMDEN, N.J. -- Allen Iverson let his supporters do all the talking.

Making his first public appearance since his arrest Tuesday, the Philadelphia 76ers' star signed autographs and mingled with fans, but didn't speak to reporters at his annual children's charity event Saturday night.

"He's a wholesome, decent, God-fearing young person,'' said Novella Williams, spokeswoman for Iverson's Celebrity Classic. "I stand committed with my other young women to free this young man from the powers of evil.''

Iverson, the NBA's MVP in 2000-01, is accused of barging into his cousin's apartment with a gun and threatening two men while looking for his wife several hours before dawn on July 3. Police said Tawanna Iverson had checked into a hotel on July 1 after the couple had an argument.

Tawanna Iverson attended the game with the couple's two children and the family left the stadium together.

Iverson originally was to speak to children at an afternoon rap session, but didn't arrive until about two hours before the scheduled game. Wearing a retro Philadelphia Phillies jersey with the No. 14, Iverson signed autographs for about 30 minutes and then disappeared into the locker room.

He emerged to loud cheers shortly before 7 p.m., waved his arms and pounded his chest.

Fans attending the celebrity softball game voiced support for Iverson.

"He didn't do anything wrong,'' said Lawrence Hillman of Philadelphia. "People just keep blowing this out of proportion.''

Camden mayor Gwendoyln Faison thanked Iverson for raising money to benefit children in her city.

"Don't kill the man. Don't down him. Give him a break,'' Faison said.

Among those playing in the game were Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Garnett, Houston Rockets guard Steve Francis and Sixers guard Eric Snow. Former Sixers president Pat Croce, Iverson's teammate, Aaron McKie, and middleweight champion Bernard Hopkins also were in attendance.

Iverson surrendered to authorities on Tuesday. A judge agreed Thursday to delay a hearing that will determine whether prosecutors have enough evidence to try Iverson until either July 29 or 30.

Iverson's attorney, Richard Sprague, has declined to comment on the case, other than to say that three-time All-Star intends to plead innocent. Iverson's uncle, who allegedly accompanied the 27-year-old guard, also is charged.

Although the charges against Iverson carry a maximum sentence of more than 50 years, lawyers not involved in the case said the three-time scoring champion is unlikely to serve jail time even if convicted.

No matter the outcome in court, Iverson faces possible action from NBA commissioner David Stern, who has suspended him in the past.

Iverson sat out the first game of the 1997-98 season after pleading no contest to a gun charge when police near Richmond, Va., that summer stopped a car in which he was a passenger and found his gun and two marijuana cigarettes.

Iverson's first brush with the law came as a teen-ager in 1993. He was convicted of maiming by mob after a racially charged bowling alley brawl in which he was accused of hitting a woman over the head with a chair, knocking her unconscious. Iverson served four months of a five-year prison sentence, then was granted clemency by then-Virginia Gov. Douglas Wilder. The conviction was overturned in 1995.
