Buy a book from Brooks Brothers or Barneys. They have them about gentlemen do's and don'ts. How to's and things like that. My father got me a copy when I turned 16.
It helps.

Same here, Catholic Schools. I can even tie a proper bow tie.

I tied one every day from 1st grade through 12th. No tie in college.
Now I wear 1 everyday again. Thats why I love vacations.
I wear no ties and try to only wear flip flops or golf shoes when I play.

I have to tie my hubbies ties all the time. I'll have to check this Euro tie you all are talking about.

No beatings. I was bad but no beatings. I was tied to my chair once.
They could not get away with that now. Kind of sucks. Sometimes a kid needs a slap. My parents taught me well as I will my kids. Different times. It is crazy these days.
I do a double everyday and a single on the weekends for fun events where I have to wear a tie. Less formal.
Buy him one of these books for his bday or fathers day or just because.
