Alcohol

If you're concerned about fat loss, there are other things to consider besides just the alcohol. Beer, even light beer is very high in calories simply because of its ingredients, not just the alcohol. Secondly, unless you're drinking the hard stuff straight, there's a ton of sugar in most mixers. Not good for weight loss.
 
I agree there. If you're gonna drink booze then please go for the hardcore straight stuff (no mixers, no beer, no wine). You may die young but you'll leave a good looking body. There is no evidence that straight (96%) alcohol leads to increased fat gain. Beer on the other hand is a pretty fattening drink (high in carbs). And what ever you do, please DON'T combine a drinking binge with a high fat/high carb/ high cholesterol meal.
