Albuterol

I am on a business trip for 3 days...Last night I felt a terrible sinus infection coming on, so when I left this morning I pretty much pushed my whole medicine cabiniet into my bag. Well, I came across a bottle of Albuterol...which I have always taken in the past to treat this. The only thing is this was prescribed in 6/2003. So here is the question....Does this stuff go bad? Or will I be safe taking it... Help!!

As in an inhaler? I have asthma and use albuterol, and it's an inhaler that is basically pressurized into a metal capsule, so I don't see how that could ever go bad, aside from some buildup or debris on the actual mouthpiece or something like that.

No this is the syrup...
But it never had to be refridgerated, so I wouldn't think that any new "cultures" would form.

Don't see why it would have gone bad, most med's last a while in good storage.

However, I may have some medicine to make you feel better........

Thanks for the Info Slickdadd---I took it, at this point anything that helps is going to be a plus. And what is the worst that could happen? I just might not be posting tommorrow...

Yep. Just take it and see what happens and remember the results. You can be the unofficial test animal/lab rat.

You could always find an unsuspecting guinea pig, and keep an eye on them for about an hour or so.

i doubt it will hurt you. at worst, its effectiveness may be less as its been over a year.

Just the other day I used albuterol syrup that was at least two years old. I'm still alive and well. It worked fine.

For cutting you have to take a lot of that shit and very often

The half life must be pretty short

You'd have to take it every 4 hours or even more often than that. It's half life is very short.

It should be fine....like Smurfy said the effectiveness might wear out but try it
