Sorry for the noobie question but my searches for answers turned up too many contradicting statements.
What's the difference between R-ALA and ALA?
I bought a bottle of ALA from a local GNC. The container is labeled "Alpha Lipolic Acid 100". The only ingredient is listed as "alpha Lipolic Acid". These are 100mg softgells.
I don't see anything on the bottle that says "R-ALA" or "S-ALA".
Did I waste my money? Will plain 'ol ALA be of any use to me?
And by the way, what exactly is ALA for?
Is the main purpose of ALA to allow one to get into ketosis despite eating moderate carbs? Or is ALA for increasing your energy during workout? Or it for increasing muscle gains from your workout?
Confused,
