ALA results!!!

Ok, we have heard all of the hopes of ALA, but I want to hear from actual users and what they saw over a certain amount of time. I realize that the idea of large dosages of ALA is relatively new, but someone has to have experiences. ALA is not incredibly expensive so I am still gonna buy some and figure it out for myself, just curious as to what other bros have witnesses with this seemingly miracle product!

I posted this awhile ago but no one seemed to care, though I saw it as a major breakthrough. ALA cleared up my back of acne in like a week
No tanning, no B5, no scrubbing, nothing but that. The shit just went away, I am taking 1200 mg a day split up in two doses and feeling great. On a side note I just started a anavar only cycle that is going to run 12 weeks and I have already added 3-4 pounds in the first week and have been eating hardly anything. just biding my time with anavar till my next big cycle later bros

oooooh shit...i havent had acne at all this entire cycle and i was wondering why....i been taking ala for the first time, shit i didnt that stuff helped with acne.!!!!!!

ALA results

Tyguy, I ve been using ala since march 9 @ 2:30p. I started at 700mgs 30 min. prior to meals. Iam now bumped up to 800mgs three times a day - I went to a snack right before bed with 300mgs. I wont do that again!!! I was up for hours even with melot. valerian,st.johns could not go to sleep!!
I have to tell you-" I ve been around " Ihave experience with many things- I dont have too much faith with anything you can get at GNC- know what I mean?! BUT, I have to tell you I have not felt this good in a long time- really. So far this shit is beyond awesome!!! I am a lab rat for my friends, so they are waiting for my feedback.
OK- I feel like I am "ON"- no drowsieness during day- I feel great after I eat my workouts are more intense-my muscles are totally full, Iam hard , clear headed- not jittery-stronger/better pumps.
I just hope this isnt a placebo thing. I will keep you guys posted.
PS: I ve been trying to go hypoglicymic on purpose and have been unsuccessful at this dosage- I am 5-11@ 235 @ 12%bf
I am using 250g isopure protein per day with myoplex bars and 2 reg meals C-YA
 
This is all very interesting. I just started taking ALA 3 days ago at 1200 mg a day. I got mine from www.nutriteam.com and it was relatively inexpensive. I'll be starting a cycle next monday but thought i'd give ALA a try. I have noticed that I seem more clear- headed and also feel better than usual after eating. I have also noticed a few other things. Usually I am an insomniac, can't sleep for shit. The last 3 nights i've slept like a baby. Another minor problem I have is that i usually only shit about every 2-3 days which can be a little uncomfortable at times. The last 3 days i've shit every day. I'm sure i'll hear some wisecracks for sharing that with you all but WTF. Anyways so far i'm liking what ALA is doing for me.
 
MightyP - Iam using KAL 100mgs it was a good deal from a friend they are tablets not capsules. that is the only ingrediant listed. I will have to find a better/stronger tablet these will not be cost effective I got them for 8 bucks@ 60 tabs. it normally sells for 27.59 @ 60 tabs ( this brand) alot more info on FONZ' thread.

Slingblade- very regular indeed- no problems here though, but I cant even get thru my coffee in the AM without eliminating. I am glad you posted - maybe this is not a placebo effect!!!!!

You know, I've been taking ALA for awhile and my skin is in really great shape, no acne at all actually...interesting, I wonder if there really is a correlation. I know part of it has to do with using DHA based tanning lotions, but I bet the ALA is a factor too because my acne is now non-exsistant.
 
ALA is soon to be the hottest supp. on the market (if not already)
better than 1test, creatine, glutamine its the must have supp,. of the next generation. So many functions, great with creatine, cycles, carb ups, dextoxes and acts as an insuline mimicker. Nothing but good things come from this supp.

800mgs a day is good, im going to do 1.5 grams a day on my cycle.

Go out and get it now....just not in powder, pills is a must.
 
alright some feedback

pretty cool isn't it frackal, this is a cheap ass substance and it can clear up acne (by my account anyway) no need for 10 grams of b5 or accutane, which I was seriously thinking about getting and I am so glad I decided against. I want all the bros out there to take ALA for there acne and see what it does, report back on the effects, for me it only took about 3-5 days to see results of a clear skin, not to mention much smoother in general.

ALA is deffinitelly getting more and more recognized in bodybuilding. I have been using it for over 1 year now at 800 mg's a day. My experiences with it are. It has totally eliminated my acne, improved my skin tone, made me fuller and more vascular, kept me alot leaner when bulking, improved my recovery, and it has also eliminated the suggish feeling I would get by being on a high carb diet. When I would eat a very high carb meal with ALA, I would feel a burst of steady energy as aposed to the sluggish feeling I would get prior to using ALA. When I take ALA I never feel tired during the daytime and more focused. I have also found that it improved my mood and sleep as well. Deffinitely a must use supplement year round :cool:
 
I just picked up 50 grams of powder from beyond-a-century and am anxious to start using it. I'll keep the board posted on my results. . . .

Yes GNC carries it but the price is through the roof. And their only 100mg per cap. Order them from www.nutriteam.com , ther're cheap, 300mg per tab, and you'll get them in 3-5 days.
 
Has anyone gained a large amount of fat while on ALA? It seems that nandi12 sees this has a possibility...........
 
I dropped 5 lbs the first week on 2000mg/day ALA. Since then I've leveled off at a steady 2-3 lbs/week rate. My diet is very strict and I'm lifting my ass off, so the ALA might not have anything to do with my weight loss. I do feel like my stomach empties quicker when I take ALA with my meals. I also like to take about 500-750mg with my post workout carbs. I like the stuff and I'll keep using it. I am going to cycle off it for a couple of weeks then hit it again and listen to my body more carefully. I'm getting much better at listening to my body and translating what it's telling me. Probably because I’m getting old

I have been using ala in mass dosages for the last couple of days, 1500mg per meal, and have been able to stay in mild to moderate ketosis!!! I bought the little ketosis stix that you piss on from the drugstore, and its almost too good to be true, and I have not been low carbing it at all. Even my doctore says that ala is a great supplement. Maybe its just me, but I think that my dick has even gotten bigger since I have been taking ala(lol...)

Well I am pumped, I have only been on 1000mg ED for about a week but I have noticed, 2 weeks in, that I have not gotten any acne of my cycle of sust eq fina winny. Of course I was impatient and just included it in my protein order so I bought 8 bottles of 100mg prolab tabs (60 tabs per bottle) which I am going to fly through so now I just order some more 300mg ones. So I will keep everyone posted!
