Ala Or Steroids!

Everyone is talking good about ALA, especially at doses of 3g per day or above. I saw an old post where they cmpared ALA to primobolan. You could bulk up without gaining much fat. For me this is the biggest problem, even though I bulk Clean I tend to gain Estrogen related fat that is SO very hard to get rid of, if not impossible..Today I'm thinking of a Deca cycle or a fina cycle. Well I hate the wather I gain from things, and I suppose this will be one problem If I do deca. The wather weight makes me feel like shit and It's not worth it. I'm not looking for 20lb or so, just a 10-12lb solid mass and to get a bit stronger. My arms SUCK bigtime so I just have to do something about it. When it comes to fina I'm not sure I can get a "kit" into my country(not US..).
For my goals Deca would almost be perfect, except from the wather. Also the Fina would be perfect but then again I'm not sure I want to take the "risk" not getting it thru custom.
Do you think that Ala at 3g-4g per day could help me reach my goals? Just had to ask. Anyone got "steroid" simular results with ALA at a high dose???
 
Personally, i would rather use ALA than deca anytime. But then again i am not a fan of deca, unless my joints are bothering me.

If I were you i would include ALA in with your cycles and also while you are off cycles.

Everyone reacts different with ala and from experience you only get REAL results at 3 g aday or more......

If your going to do it, do it at 4+ grams a day. Think about it, it's
a fuck of a lot safer then using juice for 10 weeks. Plus you get
the added benefit of not having to rely on a dd for your ALA.

You asked did anyone get steroid similar results from ALA. If ANYONE says yes, I call BULLSHIT with a megaphone. Now, if your goal is to gain 10 - 12 lbs of solid muscle by substituting steroids with ALA, then I think that is possible with strict diet, cardio, WATER and good workouts.

You sort of asked 2 questions and those are your 2 answers.

I wonder how many people on this board are pushing (Selling) ALA)?
 
ala is great but

its nothin like a good cycle.i do luv ala though,great stuff very impressive results wise along w/ diet/training...

Actually, you're the only one not selling it...:D Just kidding...But seriously I like ALA alot, but would never use it without some sort of androgen. They compliment each very, very well.... ALA pushes nutrients mostly into your muscles , while minimizing fat GAIN, and androgens tell your cells to use those nutrients. Results of the two together? Lean, high quality muscle. I've juiced without ALA, and while I have gotten results, they have never been quite like they are when you include ALA....

I love ALA too, but it won't compare to juice...go with the juice my son.

I think the reason you see so much disparity between users is the fact that all ALA is not created equal. Stores are selling a mixture of the r-(right one) and s-(wrong one) in their caps. When you buy the mix it is not 50-50 and you have no idea how much of the r- you are actually getting. You only need to use a fraction of the amount people are using if it is 100% r- ALA.
This is macro's post on it.
all of the ala currently available is a racemic mixture of the R and S isomers.. the S is a synthetic that does not exist in nature (a by product of the manufacture).. the S actually works counter to many of the effects of the R (particularly those related to glucose disposal and insulin sensitivity) the S does have some very weak anti oxident potential..

the mixtures are NOT 50/50.. this is just an industry line.. while SOME mixtures may approach 50/50.. since there is no analysis of enantiomer content.. it is hard to say.. though often the S will predominate.. this may be more true for cheaper manufacture-- but this cannot be said with 100% certainty..

the racemic ALA is somewhat effective.. but part of the reason that such high doses are needed with it is due to the sometimes high ratios of S isomers (which dont do anything for insulin/glucose/GLUT) and actually are counterproductive in those respects.

there may be other negative impacts of the S.. but this cannot be said conclusively

So where do we get the r-? I made this point a long time ago in the original ala thread but fonz chose to ignore it. BTW, I do not know how folks do 3-4grams of this stuff a day, , it eats up my stomach! :(

ENIGMA - Well said, I partially hopped up on the ALA band wagon to find its not what is cracked up to be. It seems like every year theirs 1 or 2 products that everyone thinks is going to make the difference...Remember "Cybergenics"

I didn't get any fat. That's what I'm trying to say, I lost a good bit! Your post said 'minimize fat loss' and I was just confused... I was saying that it 'maximized the loss' for me :)

dumbell150- As far as ALA goes, there are a LOT of factors to
use. So if you didn't get the results you expected, it could have
been due you "partially" hopping on the so- called band wagon.
I have gotten tremendous results from it as far as fat loss and
moderate strength gains. I actually considered NOT running a
cycle and just doing ALA. I made my decision on going with
the secret sauce though. :D I have NO reason to lie about
my results and NO...I don't sell ALA! I have lost a LOT of bodyfat
while dieting and running ALA. MANY of my friend's think I have
already started jucing because I am much leaner and LOOK
bigger. My advice is as follows....Juice AND ALA will make the
ULTIMATE combo. I do agree with Ulter that all ALA is not
created equal. I can't wait to get my grubby lil hands on pure

No my mistake. I meant minimize fat gain or maximize fat loss. I gotta be more careful. Anyway glad it works for you too...
