AHHH Squats

I have the worst legs ever, they are big and i have awesome calves, but they are soooo weak.....and when i do squats i feel like a woman, cause im squatting like 180 right now and when i get done with a set i am light headed and dizzy......other than squats and leg presses what are some good ways to get my legs up to par with the rest of me????? Also, my biceps are getting really big, but they just dont have that awesome peak...any suggestions on that? maybe an exercise that will target the peak more if there is even such a thing....i am currently doing preacher curls with the bar, standing alternating dumbell curls and standing straight bar......is there anything else??? Any advice would be great.......thanks bros

Unfortunately the shape of your biceps is mianly determined by genetics. IMHO I would drop alternating the curls, and the preacher bench. Grab the heaviest bar you can and curl till you can't anymore. Squats are essential. Check your form, you shouldn't be getting dizzy/light headed, you maybe be rounding your back or something. Are your legs "defined" or just big? You didn't specify anything other than how much weight your lifting, so I have no idea what rep x sets you are using. Try reading on the 5x5, dropping your weight a little, and working squats 3 times a week.

start doing exercises for the low back and hamstrings/glutes. These muscles will help out tremendously with your squatting. However do not squat while doing exercises for your low back, as this will be too much work for it and you will be at risk for injury.

Hyperextensions
Romanian deadlifts/straight leg deadlifts
Good mornings
lying or seated leg curls
lunges

These exercises will do the trick. Just do some research to find out more about them if you don't know how to do them. :)

how about reverse curls. Working the brachialis (which lies underneath the bicep) will give you more peak that you are looking for. Any arm flexor movement done with the palms facing the floor or in a semi-supinated position will work the brachialis. give that a try and you will see new size and strength.

Thanks bros.........I did squats today, i dropped a lil weight, and checked my form, i think i jumped weight too quick......they felt alot better.......and i didnt get dizzy.............i was doing 3 sets of 10-13 reps.....was that too much? and what is this 5x5 deal???? And you mentioned doing them 3 times a week? Wouldnt that be too much??? As for size, my legs are pretty "defined" not fat, but they are just weak......i got injured in the Marines and sat around for 2 years...no running or anything......Im gonna try dropping the preacher curls and alternating dumbells and do just the straight bar until i cry...lol Again thanks for the advice everyone....this site is great.....
