big4life's thread got me thinking. He's obviously somewhere in his mid 40s about to date a 20 year old girl.

for me, I'd have no interest in "dating" anyone that much younger, only sleeping with them, if thats what i was into (which i'm not).

but for you, what's your age and what is the youngest and oldest person you'd consider DATING.

I'm not talking about sleeping with, and this question is hypothetical so even the married/taken people can answer. Also, i'm not talking about the occassional VERY mature 20 year old - I'm talking about knowing a person's age before you know much about them and dismissing them or accepting them purely on the number.

I am 37 and wouldn't usually date anyone younger than 33 or older than 52

It depends on maturity level.......I wouldnt be opposed to someone in the mid 20's if chemistry were there etc.

The reason I don't put age limits on it has to do with attraction and common desires. The 20 year old I'm seeing is very mature, and she has the same relationship goals right now. That might change in the future, but right now we both want the same thing.

I admit, I'm the one who brought the age issue up to her, but she never thought about it. It bothered me at first, now we laugh about it.

34-39 (with proof - LOL) I'm becoming more close minded as I get older. Actually someone who also graduated high school in 87 is just perfect - that much more to remember together.

At 29/30 I dated a 52 year old that looked and acted late 30 something, right now I'm doing some work for a 54 year old and sometimes he crosses the line of appropriate behavior and I find it disturbing if not disgusting. Go figure.
