Advise needed on stubborn calves

Please advise me on how to add inches on my stubborn calves.I train my calves very hard but they are absolutely stubborn.

I keep saying the same things - but for me its

deadlift onto toes, shrugs onto toes, squats onto toes, RDLS etc onto toes, get up on your toes with heavy weights - don't miss any chance!

I added a nice half an inch on my calves over the last 2 weeks since I started doing shrugs onto toes, speed squats onto toes and rack clean pulls onto toes etc.
I also do jump squats landing and jumping off my toes, so they help too I figure - something I started doing 5 weeks ago.

For what its worth I don't do any proper calf raises at all, haven't done so for the last 6 months.
It's a lot more comfortable to me shrugging a heavy barbell and getting up on your toes on every rep rather than banging away reps on a calf machine with some enormous load on your shoulders :)

Plus unlike machines you aren't locked into a groove and you do have to balance a bit - helps growth for sure

calves are like a big dick, either you have it or you don't

for me it works best to train them like all other muscles, i.e. heavy weight low reps. best is standing calf raises.
you want to train the fast twitch fibers, only they make a muscle grow., that's why they need heavy weight, low reps.
problem for many is that there are not so many fast twitch fibers in the calves. if you don't have them it's almost impossible to grow your calfes.
just forget the nonsense that they have to be trained more often and with more sets than any other muscle.
