So i want to become fit and don't know what to do about it. On top of my original workout which is very similar to 3x5 rippetoe. According to "Practical programming" I'm almost to the Intermediate phase of my training and I am not fit whatsoever. if I sprint 20 feet i'm already breathing pretty hard. I want to add in sandbag work but I have no idea what weight, reps, sets to use and whether i might overtrain. I used to use javorek complexes #1 with 20 pounds, but I don't know if that even did much good lol.
Also Is active recovery different from conditioning? Active recovery you use ~30% of your 1rm for high reps right? Are you supposed to huff and puff from circuiting a few lifts together to increase your work capacity?
Lots of questions lol, i just want to add in sandbag work that won't counter my normal workout but will better better condition me and increase my work capacity.
