active marines, what's your average day like?

Hey Ultra, that's more or less what I do! I try to mix it up a little with some random scratching and shit. Here's my day:
9am - wake up and take a leak
9:10am - stumble back to bed after that 10 min. piss
11am - wake up and stare at the wall
11:13am - scratch my crotch thoroughly
11:20am - get up and eat
11:43am - scratch my left ass cheek
11:45am - get in fetal position on floor and see if today's the day that I can kiss my own ass
12:15am - admit defeat and watch t.v.
12:30am - take off pants and underwear and time how long it takes my roommates to ask me to put my clothes back on cause wearing nothing put knee-high socks is "creepy"
etc.

decem you are a bad mother fucker,both my uncles were u.s. marines,my father retired in 88' and my brother is in Italy right now, i stayed in school.
But i have nothing but respect for anyone who serves in the armed forces!!

Hey bro I have been in the Marine Corps for about 3 1/2 years now and since I have been in I have had some time to reconsider whether I would have joined if I knew what was actually envolved in it. First of all about 90% of all recruiters will lie their asses off just to get you to join and tell you whatever you want to hear just to get you to join cause they have a quota to fill. Make sure you get into a job field that you like and that you can use once you get out. Many people go into the infantry and once they get out they are at the same place as they were before they joined cause there is really no need for grunts in the civillian world. Also the Marines give up the least amount of money for college so if you are looking for college money its not the best. I got lucky cause I found out about a scout sniper indoc so I took it and passed then went to sniper school and passed and now that I am in sniper platoon AKA (STA) plt I love it. But believe me you will get more bullshit thrown at you than you can believe. I love my job now but if you are one that gets into a job you dont like you will be misserable. Just think about all the pros and cons and weigh them out first before you make your decision. Hey I noticed you are in Hawaii thats where I am stationed.
all branches offer the same for college. 75 percent tuition assistance, 26000 GI Bill, and College Fund. at this point in time, i don't have many options. it's either active army, or active marines. i just want a job/ mos that will allow me to knock some college out while i'm in. that's my main focus. i can't afford shit, i'm not lucky like a lot of people. my parents aren't paying for shit, and i have a passion for going to college. as my friends leave one by one to different places, the more i focus on training/lifting, and going to school. those are the two things that i focus on. where are you stationed noons, kaneohe bay?
I wasn't in the Marines, but I was in the Army Rangers. My advice to you: pick an MOS that you enjoy, doesn't make you too miserable, and hopefully something that applies to the outside world. If you are actually interested in your military career--Pick something like aviation, medical, or computers. You get normal work hours, chances to go to college, and you don't have to sleep out in the fucking rain!!!!!!!!!!!
Me, I joined to bust down doors and jump out of planes. And I did a lot of it. But, when you get out, like most people do these days (cause the Pentagon is soooo concerned about retaining quality NCOs), putting "jumping out of airplanes and killing people" on your resume won't get you a job (normally). That's why I am in grad school now.

I was in the Norwegian Infantry for a few years, Serving as a Machinegunner, i never regretted it, but there are a couple of things that made me go back to the civillian life, like the bad payment and not much spare time.
anyway, all my buds that didnt join the force have some kind of degree today. i cant say i've got any.
but i've got DICIPLINE, and integrity, and thats ALL that matters.
