I've had in done twice on the same knee....My advice, Start taking drugs as soon as you can, as you will get the most Painfull hip cramp that you can't streatch out(the crank your leg into some awkward positions) . Are you getting a passive movement machine? If so, stay on it as much as possible, my second time around I slept with this mother f-er strapped to my leg a regained 85-90% of my motion back in two days! Rehab rehab rehab! Also, I as a lacrosse player need to maintain good running form and speed, so I bought a 3 month membership to a gym with a pool (mine doesn't have one) and I would run in the water an hour a day. But the main thing is take it easy, If it starts to hurt stop! Ice Every night ( I still do and I'm 10 months post-op) When they allow you to lift dont be scared, you'll notice how tend to favor it, this will get you nowhere. I was back to full contact lax in 6 months, I believe the reason was the machine and running in the pool. Hopefully this time around I won't blow it out again, as I already have 6 screws in there!
