That shit causes blindness and bad knees. Stay off the accutane.

really bro? go ahead, tell us more about the people who got blind from accutane...

anyway, this shit fucking expensive bro,it comes in boxes of 30 Caps x 20mg and a fair price would be about $50 - $60 per box...

keep in mind that it's a very potent drug, use it only if the other acne therapies did nothing for you...

Hello to all, I have used acutane in the past and it works like a charm. The side effects are really not as bad as some people say. You just can't overdose yourself. The cycle usually lasts between five to six months to be really effective. My first cycle was only five months. Side effects: Just Dry skin, dry lips, inside of your nose gets dry. You may or may not get joint pains. The worse I had was some back pain every time I initially laied down and then it would go away real fast it was just that position change I guess. Well, I was clear for a year. Then it came back. My doctor figured it was because my cycle wasn't long enough. So I am about three months into my second cycle and I am clear as can be. I will probably go on a six month cycle total. And I am also planning on starting my first cycle of gear in two weeks. Hopefully it get rid of them for good and the gear doesn't bring back the acne. Acutan works by shrinking the oil production glands so it is imparative that your cycle is long enough to do the job otherwise a short cycle will just have the comming back in a few months. It is a lot cheaper if you go to a dermatologist and use a perscription plan. Just $10 a month w/o a plan it is about $630 for a month. I am only 180lb and my dose is 80mg. One 40mg tab twice a day with food. And from what I understand it really isn't as harsh on your liver as some say. It just could cause higher cholesterol levels in some. Doesn't do anything to my levels at all. You just need to get a blood test every month to every other month.

Good luck man hope the info helps,
Dr J

I used it when I was 16. Works like a charm, but you have to take it for a long period of time. Extremely dry lips and mucus membranes. For some people the joint pain can be extremely bad, for me it was only in the knees. Also makes you very sensitive to the sun (so stay the hell out of the tanning beds during treatment). As for the blindness, I was half kidding...open the package and read the possible side affects. Night vision can be affected and total blindness has happened. Ironic since it's really just a mega dose of vitamin A.

It's also been linked to teen suicide as it can cause depression. Here's a link...

Counter act depression with:

10 weeks of 750-500 MG of test
FINA
D-bol 30mg/day

What imma be doin (just got on accutane)

I was in two 5 months cycle of accutane. 80mg/day. It was pretty much hell. Bloody nose, dry mouth, dry lips, sensitive skin, etc etc etc.

But it worked after the 2nd cycle.

it works well

the sides are not that bad, just keep blistex on hand and saline nasal spray to moisturize your nasal passages. As far as going blind ? ? I kind off doubt it would be allowed by the fda if it did that.

Has anybody gone through a cycle of accutane and then have done some gear? If so does it keep the acne from reoccuring even when on a cycle of gear? Xalthus how is your cycle going combined with acutane, is it working well for ya?

Don't do it.

Although the exact method of action is unknown accutane seems to lower your skins ability to produce sebum or oil.

It does nothing to address the hormonal imbalance that is causing the skin to produce too much oil in the first place.

Once the drug wares off your acne will come back worse then ever because of the serious liver damage it causes.

Not only that, accutane has serious and sometimes permanent side effects…

Just a few are…

The minor ones…

Chapped lips
Dandruff
Dry skin and itching
Dryness of the nose and nose bleeding
Irritation of the eyelids and persistent feeling of dryness of the eyes
Rash
Headaches
Nausea
Blurred vision
Mood changes
Severe stomach pain
Diarrhea
Rectal bleeding
Yellowing of the skin
Joint and muscle pains
Delay in wound healing
Hair loss…often showing up years after the drug is discontinued
Increased sensitivity to sunburn
Decreased night vision
The more serious ones…

Depression and thoughts of suicide.
May increase the level of blood fats, sometimes to risky levels.
Hideous birth defects. And these have been associated with pregnancies long after the drug was discontinued.
Permanent loss of vision. Accutane can cause the retina to become "rough" leading to blurred vision. This is very often permanent.
In high enough does this drug will cause the growth plates to fuse…stopping growth.
And it has been linked to crippling arthritis.

All of these side effects are admitted by the manufacture. This drug is a poison…does nothing to address the actual cause of acne…will make your acne worse in the long run...and damages your body…sometimes permanently.

I agree with everything you say... But Accutane was never meant as a long term treatment. The purpose of accutane is to ride your acne for a short period of time, in hopes that your hormonal imbalance will "balance" itself out.

I went on acutane when I was 19 because of mild acne. After 2 five month cycles, it did get ride of my acne. Now I'm 22 and my hormones aren't as screwed up as when I was a teenager. So in essenence, accutane did work for me.

I wouldn't go on accutane again tho. The sides were not pleasant.
