Accutane & Gear - Yes another ?

I have decided after 12 weeks of using doxycycline and topical treatments that my dermatologist prescribed that I need something a bit more effective. He originally wanted me to take the accutane in 10mg dosages for a 10 month treatment. I have adult acne normally, so when I'm on gear it just makes it worse. By no means, I have the acne that scars or forms the pits on my face, but I'm afraid if this keeps up, it might lead to that one day. The reason why I didn't want to use the accutane was because of the side effects, but here's my questions:

In the pamphlet that they give to you to read, it lists possible side effects like achey bones, aches in the muscles, dryness of the face / eyes, lips, and birth defects. I'm not having any children- so I don't have to worry about that, but have any of you felt the other side effects and if so, were they extreme enough to warrant not using accutane?

i took acutane in high school and i was on 100mg a day it was that bad. ur face does dry out a little bit and so do ur lips. i was never sore or achey the main thing u got to watch out for is the sun. U WILL BURN SOMETHING TERRIBLE

I think I took around 100mg/day back in high school to. It worked really well and I don't remember the side effects being that bad. Just a little dry so make sure you drink a lot of water and be careful in the sun. Also, I forgot I took it once and drank a beer right after I took it and got exteremly sick. Wasted drunk an puked all over the place so be careful with alcohol.

I'm coming off an accutane cycle as we speak. 80mg/ed for almost 10 months.

I've ran only one cycle, test and tren, and the results were phenominal. The accutane didn't hinder my gains at all and since you'll be getting monthly bloodwork you'll know if somehting is wrong. (Not a single time were any of my values even slightly elevated.) The main side effects that will bother you is the dry skin and chapped lips. You'll learn to stash lip balm everywhere: car, bedroom, livingroom, work, gym, gymbag, everywhereelsethaticanthinkof. The first month is the worst, your face will get EXTREMELY dry and hurt, but it passes. I've taken more drugs than I can count for my acne (hereditary, fuck!) and the only thing that has ever worked is accutane. Granted there are side-effects, but you gotta give a little to get a little.

I would prefer never run another cycle without accutane. My skin never once broke out and was crystal clear the whole cycle, even post cycle!! Any other questions, feel free to ask!

Chris

i'll check back tomorrow after I see my doc. From what I remembered him telling me that he wants to put me on the adult dosage of 10mgs, so the side effects might not be that bad considering you were taking 80mgs..

everywhere! The store clerk was looking at me funny when I bought 5 canisters of Carmex like "dude are you gonna try and jerk it with this stuff?" kinda look.

It only causes birth defects in women while they are on it. Birth control is mandatory for females while on accutane.

Joints got a little achey

you'll find out that the side effects are severely overstated.

I was on it for 6 months...about 6 years ago...

best thing I ever did!! i had acne all my life....pretty bad...but did not scar...very lucky.......neways, the sides were alot of drying out and cracking of skin....carry cream and lip balms everywhere like previously stated and you should be ok.....just note that it will get worse before it gets better.....the 1st month is hell with sides and acne...then after that.....it starts gettin awesome.....no acne!!!

oh yeah....STAY OUT OF THE SUN!

Spare Tire,

Try a lower dosage at first (depending on the severity of your acne). My acne was not terrible, but still was ugly as hell. It covered the middle of my chest and alot of my back. I used the accutane for only 2 months and 90% of the acne went away. This was at only 40 mg/ED...

I did the first month @ 40mg/day then the next 5 months @ 80mg/day.

It worked well, cleared up the backne really nicely. Soem of the face acne comes back when I cycle though.
