It would only cost $2.00 a day to feed the Afgani people, not being into that and purely from an accouting point of view it would cost less to blow them all off the planet then to feed them even using conventional weapons, when you start feeding them they reproduce their starving asses, then we get into medical care for life because their country will NEVER be able to feed them and pay for medical care. Then we get into education, you can see where this is going can't you? A never ending cycle of complete dependancy that would go on forever. Afganistan is under the worst drought they have ever seen, the next thing these liberals will claim is that global warming is the reason they can't feed them selves, Jesus I am so sick of being used for liberal causes. We should just cut off ALL AID to every starving country and let them starve, freeze to death, they will not be able to even begin to support them selves no matter what we do. Last time I checked dependancy is the least desirable condition for a human being to live in, just like a junkie on the take forever, whats the point in human life without dignity? No replys needed, I think I answered it myself.

Giving these countries aid will not do one single thing to help their situation. It is quite comparable to the welfare situation in the US. We only make these people slaves of dependency where they will never learn to fend for themselves. Governmental foreign aid is mostly wasted or stolen by top level leaders. We are essentially lining the pockets of some idiot who does not give a shit about the starving people in their country.

since i'm in your ignore list you won't see this anyway so i'm going to reply.

none of this changes the fact that afghans have $800 per capita income. that isn't because they can get a job at mcdonalds for $6 an hour, and only choose to work 3 hours a week. it is because the daily wages are probably close to $20 cents an hour, and because of civil war & drought.

besides, the $320 million is a trick to win converts/demoralize the enemy. it is as old as war itself.

it doesn't matter anyway. japan, france and other 1st world countries care more about the world's poor than america ever will. so if we don't give them $1 a day out of our 'buy a lexus' fund the japanese will.

Nord,
Why didn't bin Laden build a business in Afghan with his $300 Million inheritance? If he really cared about those people he would have, wouldn't he? Shit he could have been the Bill Gates of Afghanistan!!! NO, he wanted to kill instead.

my post doesn't relate to bin ladin. i have no idea what he does with his money. i know he refused to take up a multi-million dollar construction offer during the afghan/soviet war as it distracted him from fighting, but that is the extent of my knowledge on his financial history.

most bin ladin sites have been hacked into and shut down, so i can't really dig up info on that aspect of him.

in case anyone gets the wrong idea, i don't support bin ladin. he is a dogmatic tyrant who wants to turn the clocks of social & technological evolution back 500 years so his beliefs can be imposed on others.
