I got one of those abtronic machines (actually got it for free).. normally i do ab exercises most days. is it worth using this machine instead of the exercises? or is this machine total rubbish and the exercises be more beneficial

i used the thing for the first time today.. haha! fuck, u can really feel it with a high intensity

ingredients for abs:

1) some muscular development

2) relatively low bodyfat (about 10% for guys, a bit higher for women)

why the electronic things are crap:

1) the contraction it induces is not strong enough to develop a significant amount of muscle

2) it does almost nothing directly or indirectly towards lowering body fat (eat less calories!)

and to flubberboy: feel means just about nothing; I can muscles working if I did low intensity cardio (yay ****ing hoo) or lifting very light weights.

yeh im aware of whats needed for abs...
im not trying to lose weight from using the abtronic.
i was just asking whether or not i could replace it for my ab exercises

you miss out on the neural aspect, which is a calorie burner in and of itself. stick with the real deal and put out the effort, you'll appreciate it more.

Is that the one that is on tv? That shocks your muscles, and you put it around your waste? If it is, then that is a bunch of crap. I did rehab with one called the STEM for tendinitus in my knees, and it does shock your muscles but it's not going to give you rock hard abs. It shouldn't be used to replace ab workouts. Just do a lot of cardio and regular ab workouts.:D

right now im bulking, and not wanting to lose weight...
im gonna keep with the normal exercises and sell this
