Absinthe: Anyone try it?

Absinthe was made legal in the EU...are there any EU brothers that have guzzled some of this shit down? Apparently Keats, Shelley, Byron and all the Romantic poets used to slam this shit to inspire their poetry.

I am curious if it is worth trying someday...
 
they sell a fake absinthe in the US. it contains all of the same ingredient except for the wormwood.
 
I have a bottle of the real deal. YOu can order it with real wormwood, thurjone in it but it is weak. I think mine is 39 parts thurjone. You just might cut your ear off on teh gree lady. search my posts
 
it's legal in canada. i also believe it is legal to import it...well, that's what some websites that sell it say.

The US version is just everclear. If you find some go on ebay and order the spoons and glasses to loush it with. DO it right. See from Hell with Johnny Depp? That is what they are doing. It is anero-toxin. I drank a wine glass full of the real deal and drove to the store to get some snuff. Felt like I had a mild buzz, then on the way home all the lights turned into one big one. I went to bed after that. Haven't done it since.
 
yeah, my friend said bars (in the AUS and UK) will only give you 2 shots max.

it cost 25 AUS a shot where he was.

Well I guess. I haven't done it enough Van Gogh cut his ear off on it. It gives you a badddddd hang over though. YOu have to find the real deal. the bars in the UK still don' t serve the orginal mix, it does have workwood in it, but not like the old days. there is a group of professors who were trying to create the orginal mix form the ol timey bars. That's who I got my bottle from. I cna't remember how or where I got a hold of it, but It was rather pricey

I tried it in Canada.. i want to get a bottle of the Czech stuff...

I have always known about Absinthe, but I didn't know that the EU was producing it again. Maxim was the magazine that piqued my interest.

The general opinion seems to be that it isnt worth the trouble..
you'll probably have a better time drinking a bottle of robitussin.

Theres some really cool research chems out there now.. I tried one that was like shrooms and ecstasy mixed into one 3hr trip. quick and to the point.

Its called iprocin- Kicks in quick and goes away quick, in the middle are mild visuals, body vibrations, etc..
 
Yeah but nobody knows the sides of those research chems. It's been more than once that some very dangerous ones were regulated by the DEA.

While absinthe might not be extremely safe, at least it has a long history of use which can give you some idea of its dangers.
