the shit you get from the stores here in canada isnt the same, search for sebor absinth,they have there own site with 3x more wormwood then the shit they sell at the lcbo, plus its a tad cheaper, I goin to order some soon

I had real absinthe once, several months ago. I went to a party and they had it there. My buddy offered me a shot, I was a little nervous but wnated to try it. 20 mins later, I didn't feel anything especial so I took another shot, then shot gunned some beers. I got cranked off my ass. I have vague memories of dancing in the middle of the living room with two fat chicks that would give Hammy 3" wood. I would liek to try it again, but not drink and jsut try to experience it by itself. Definately don't drive if you're gonna do it.

i actually going to order some from that site. i have never tried absinth. but i have heard many things about it. what i do know is that it is illegal to sell in the US, but not illegal to possess. i.e. you can buy it online, but dont go an try to sell the stuff in a store, or sell shots of it in a bar.
absinthe is 75% alcohol. what you want to look for when buying absinthe is how much thujone and wormwood is in it. the more wormwood and thujone, the more the psychoactive and hallucinogenic effects it is supposed to have. (thujone is close to 90% of the wormwood.) there is also, some special way you are supposed to drink it. due to the bitterness of the wormwood, many people carmalize a spoon of sugar, and mix it into the absinthe to make it a little sweeter.

i have tried it before, and its powerful when made right. feels like being kinda high and tripping slightly. if you drink too much it takes away from the wormwood though.

Nowadays the amount of wormwood concentrate should not be more than a certain amount which is too low to get psychedelic effects. The stuff was good in the old days, see the paintings of Van Gogh.
