I was sentenced in Feb for possession in fed court. I had 5 computers taken out of my house when it was raided. I never received a letter stating that my property was not going to be returned. Today I was told that they (whomever looks at the computers) have not finished looking at the computers. My question is how is this legal. I was told they would use any information against me if they found any. Well my case is done, I am doing my probation and nothing they find can be used against me at this point. So why are they able to keep my computers for as long as they feel necessary. The raid was in July.
Now another question I have is if anything is found it would only be on one computer not the other 4, what can I do if they come back and say that they were all used for illegal purposes, can I call bullshit and demand proof. I have a feeling that they will say that I used them all improperly and keep all of them since they were high-end servers. All of the computers were bought with personal funds well before I decided to sell any AAS.
Thanks
Mitch
