About scanners at airports

Sorry for discussing this on an open board, but just gotta know this one thing:
If I put some pills inside a sun lotion bottle(full bottle) will it show through the scanners at the airports? Or does the scanner only scan through the bag and not through the objects inside the bag?

if you have been prescribed any medicine latley you can put the pills in there. The name on the pill bottle will match the name on your ticket. They wont even think twice about it.

Just put them in your pocket and walk through with them.If it dosent set off the metal detector they wont search you.

Ya thats the safest way. Those security guards are stupid high school dropouts, no way in hell there goin to know what any kind of pill looks like(besides zanny bars, perkeset, etc.) There no pharmacist, I've done this before and worked great, just tryin to pass the smugilling news on... prolly ok but i think common sense would tell u that putting the bottle in a sun lotion bottle would look like u were trying to hide it , put it in ur luggage in a script bottle or vitamin bottle, what if ur belt stes off the scanner and than u have to empty ur pockets!!!

I have a friend in charge of security at a large international airport. They are looking for bombs drrring the scanning process. They are not lookiong for pills or powders. I asked him this becasue I travel with a softball team 2 times a month and I almost always bring the protrein and the gear. Never a problem. Put it in your suite case and move on. I wouldn't carry it on me. With the events of 9/11 people are being checked head to toe for no apparent reason.....and with good reason.

For this I would check your baggage, dont carry it on, then there will be no issues, I do this and even with pins nothing they can do unless you're crossing borders and customs wants to look at it, but TSA cannot unless it seems dangerous or tests positive for explosive residue. So dont set your bag in your newly fertilized lawn on the way out

idk about the whole putting the juice in another vitamin bottle. my buddy put his in his milk thistle bottle in his carry on and went right on. no problems
i didnt bring any orals with me, but i combined all of my vitamins in one bottle, with my liver tabs all on the top. when i open my bag at the hotel i saw the pills were all messed up, like someone had obviously gone through them.... if i had 'a bombs' or d bols in there they would have found them.

also i stacked the upper half of the bottle with beef liver tabs from universal which are big pills and the only way that the multivitamin(which was on the bottom) could have gotten mixed in at the top would be if someone poured out the bottle, the bottle was packed way to tight for any of the pills to shift around while on the flight.

im not sure if it was legal for them to do that or whut, but i remeber someone saying on a post before that they have machines where they scan the pill and it tells them right then and there what drug it is and if it is an illegal drug.

I was scanned in the airport (240 AND LEAN) with my black passenger friend. They didn't find my Vitamins from mexico. They were in my vitamions

they can see the tabs in a bottle,,its a basic function..put the tabs in a baggie and put em in your pocket...thats the safest besides not doing it at all

i've taken BOTTLES of r-ala, thermo, levorex, proscar, etc. you name it. Never been questioned once. Don't think they've even opened my luggage once yet. And having had long hiar down to my ass, and slayer t-shirts -- i easily could've been singled out and harassed. But didn't happen.

I bring my bottles of Nolva, and Finasteride, along with B12 vials on all my international flights. I just throw them in with my bathroom shit in a plastic bag, and put in suitcase. I've had my suitcases searched twice, and they don't really have the time to go thru every peice of glass in ur bathroom bag. I usually have over a dozen bottles of cologne, so they just see various glass and move on.

But here's mine: Just but the pills in a plastic bag and place it under your foot in the shoes? I never get beeped at the metal detector. Hate that beeping, makes me nervous, so I always make sure not to have any kind of metal on me.

Nope, I'm from Norway. Allthough I can see why they're checking so good.
But, you don't have to take everything out of your pockets do you? I was thinking about just putting it in a tobbaco snuff box. Nothing wrong with having some tobacco on with you on the plane right. So do they check sigarettpacks too?

Here's an idea. Put the pills inside your luggage in a vitamen or other inconspicuous bottle but save the plastic seal. Reattach the plastic seal with tape or glue; make it look good. This way, if they take out the bottle, it will look like a sealed bottle from GNC or something and they'll leave it alone.

If you are flying in an American airport, they WILL make you take off your shoes. Look in your cigarettes. Rummage through your carry on bag. Hell they made my girlfriend take down her hair and get rid of the bobby pins that where holding it up....danger that someone may hijack the plane with bobby pins. Geting into the country...now that is preve of your country....but getting on a Plane in the USA is a bitch.
I said it earlier...toss it in your luggage ...put it in a pill box or a vitamin box and be on the way. We are only looking for things that tick..or are made of large ammounts of plastics or metals.

Guys, I recently went on a business trip and brought with me a bunch of winny tabs in a prescription bottle. I threw it in my tolietry bag and had no problems what so ever. No need to hide the orals in baggies, shoes, or pants what so ever.

Vials and syringes are a different story though.

I find that really hard to believe.
