About karma . . .

I'm no expert on the concept of karma, but I think I have a basic grasp. If you do good, the benefits of your good actions come back around to you at some point. The same goes for doing evil.

So here's my question:

Why do karma threads get locked? We are doing exactly what the system was modelled after. We spread good karma to others, and in return, good karma is spread back to us. That's how karma works, so why does George and our mods discourage it?




Incidentally, I hate those pathetic karma threads too, but I'm just pointing out that if the system is really supposed to work like karma, then it should be allowed to do so. If we lock karma threads, shouldn't we expect to recieve bad karma for stopping the karmic flow?

Karma should be earned. Not given. Hence the lockdowns. Karma threads actually defeat the purpose pf "giving good karma". JMO.
