Writed this article to help protect your privacy:

IPs are your addresses in the web.

To check your IP:
http://www.whatismyip.com/

Most home internet connections are dynamic, they change everytime you restart your computer or router.
To check restart your computer, reset your router and go back to whatismyip.com

If your IP changed, its dynamic, you are safe, even if your IP is logged. Since it changes so often, its almost impossible to know where it came from.
ISP -internet service providers- only keep a few days of records, and cops usually dont bother to investigate further for low priority crimes like ordering gear, or browsing steroid sites.

Be aware that most emails, except the free ones -yahoo, hotmail, gmail, aol, elite, hush, etc.- have "headers", you dont see them but they indicate what IP the massage came from, and the route it take.

So using outlook with an static IP its a no-no as its easily traced.

So whats an easy way to change your IP address if you are on broadband. When I had dialup it changed every time but broadband I have static addresses on four computers at home?
I mean the TOR and proxy stuff can be done but that's masking an IP and takes sometimes b/c people clog it with torrents slowing it down.
Ive always wondered if there is a way with broadband to just change my IP address. For instance, I was banned at a UFO site for making fun of them, if I can just change it then no need to doing anything through TOR or anonymization stuff

Just use a sock or proxy to log on the site, and quit this IP discussion. IMO, if you're using your real IP to log in, that's your own fault. Always use proxies and you'll be safe. Even if no one can read your IPs, why use your real one?
