Is a dht blocker a good thing or a bad thing while on a cycle? Does it hurt your cycle gains or help them?

well at minimum, it certainly wont help gains. dht is important for strength and agression - cutting it out will soften your appearence as well. and even on a test cycle, your libido and performence will probably suffer if using finasteride

Its all about weighing the negatives and positives...

If you have or are prone to BPH, then its a good idea to take the appropriate meds to combat.

If you have or are prone to MPB, then it is a good idea to take the appropriate meds to combat.

If you have zero DHT related issues, and you've never lost a hair God gave you, then it would be a waste and really provide no benefit. DHT is a very potent androgen (I believe the MOST potent) and as Mav said has many benefits to the BB'er.

Unfortunately some cant risk it or already know better... Proviron and Mast are precluded for a lot of folks. EQ can also be tough on the hairline via the 5-AR conversion

if it's for prostate issues you can take stinging nettle root extract (urtica dioica) it's been shown to be as effective as finasteride for controlling BPH. this won't do anything for hairloss mind you.

as a bonus it will increase your free sex steroids (whatever gear you're running) because it binds to SHBG displacing the steroids.
