Abcess?

I have been injecting 3 cc's of Sust /EQ every 5 days and I have extreme pain in my glute this week. It almost seems as if the lump has moved from the injection site. Anybody have any suggestions on what to do? I have been heating it, but that only takes the pain away for a couple hours. thanx

I need more info. Are you using proper injection procedures/ Sterilization? What brands are the gear you are taking. An abcess will be hot to the touch, red, swollen, and very sore.

Ironfist is right on all counts about the warning signs of an abscess, most important is extreme heat and reddness. It is unlikely that within a week that you would feel pain from an abcess, the infection takes time to spread. Very likely you injected to close to a small nerve bundle, sust can be a bitch. Or you may not have injected deep enough into the glute this will cause a lump that can move a tiny bit. Try ice to get the swelling down, you should be fine. Do watch for signs of infection though.

I have been using proper techniques. This happened before on my last cycle, but not as bad. The thing that scares me is that it seems as if it has moved since yesterday!

Thanks for the info. I will keep heating and icing. It is probably no big deal. I cant afford the doc right now so all the advice helps!
