Abcess still there. O.K to inject?

I still have a hard, painless lump in my glute and it's been nearly 3 weeks since injection. It's not visible unless you touch it (less than golfball size) and there is no pain. It was considered a sterile abcess at one point but my masssage therapist says it just feels like scar tissue. My question is, should I be worried? Can I still inject near the area? I'm really tire of all my abcess posts and I'm hoping this is the last one! Thanks guys.

After 3 weeks yea i would get it checked.. Do you have any other lumps at other injection spots? from same gear?

Depends on if you trust your doc, meaning you dont want him/her to write anything down on paper that can come back and bite you in the ass later. if you dont trust him i would just play dumb somthing along the lines of "my buddy gave me what he said was b12 injectable, i know it was stupid but its too late now ect"


I know dr -patient confidenality and all, but if you ever go for say a civil service job you would need to sign a waiver allowing them acess to ALL medical files thats my 2 pennies

Have you been injecting high dosages of oil base gear in the one place, sometimes its takes time to fully disperse.

I would def not shot the till the lump has gone.

1.5 CC of TEST Enthatate 300. My leg injection I did last week was sore but it's o.k. now. This guy uses way too much BA for sure. That was my first glute shot ever and I may just wait another week until my next massage and see what dianna says about the size of the lump.

Ive never had an abcess, but has anyone ever just stuck a pin in it and draw out whatever is in there? Then if its all blood and puss, go see a doc.

This may be really bad advice so dont do it - Im just wondering if anyone has tried that.

sounds like you will be fine to wait a while, just keep a close eye on it. If you start to notice a fever go straight to doc. it was first glute shot ever with high BA content i did not know that at first when i replied just keep checking and watch for symtoms of infection... but dont stress probably nothing .

If it were me i probably would too, however my doc is cool so i dont have to worry about stupid ques, and i am a parinoid sob. if its not red or hot and no other signs of infection like low grade fever, should be ok to wait a few days keeping a close eye on it.................but.............. if it stays the same even with no signs of infection get it checked--- we are not doctors, never risk health on sombodies advice
