Want to know what you think about all the AB shockers... the stuff that works out your abs w/ electric shocks

I have never tried them but I train with a guy that had to use them for something. He said they feel different. He didn't talk to highly of them. It would mke since that they would work somewhat but I don't know about how much. I would only use them if I injured myself and couldn't work out!

gimmick that preys on those that feel that the more work they do on their abs...the sooner they will come back.
they need to hook one of those up to people's refridgerators every time they touch the handle they get a jolt. now you'll see those abs in a few short weeks.

Just an FYI... I own a AbForce, I use it 5 times a week, twice a day for about 30 min... 15 min, and then I flip it upsidedown (b/c it seems to work better on one side than the other)... I am NOT, I repeat NOT fat, and I could actually use some sort of magnet that would drag me to my fridge...
Beside my computer I made 3 signs... "You should be lifting", "You should be studying" and, "You should be eating!"
This ab thing seems to work... b/c my abs are HELLA ripped now that I started doing this... I also work them HARD twice a week... and take a break the following day... these are the two days a week I don't use it...
I just thought you shouldn't assume that this product was only used by people w/ a weight problem!
I submitted the poll to see if anyone else has found these things usefull.... I like them, b/c I can stimulate my abs while I study... Makes it easy on a guy with little time!

i dont assume anything. i alluded to the marketing ploy that this toy is...a means of perpetuating the spot reduction myth and the ever present quest for people to attain abdominals. which tends to suck in the uneducated, desperate, or those looking for the quick fix. but if it works for you IN CONJUNCTION with your training and diet...then its a training AID and not the magic gimmick that most people are looking for.

I like how the commercial say stuff like
"Wear the abtronic while sitting on the couch eating chips and you'll have a 6 pack in no time'
I had a friend who thought he could wear that nonstop..and wear it on his arms, chest, and other spots and he'd look like a bodybuilder.. haha
