Please Scroll Down to See Forums Below Went the the doc last week for a chk-up and once again they informed me i had high BP. It was high enough this time that she put me on medication. It is Hydrochlorothiazide which is basically a water pill. Any experiences with this drug and what are its effects with AAS? I have cycled for many many years so i knew this was eventually going to be a problem and right now i am currently just running test e and eq. Is it ok to take the meds while running AAS?

My guess is the EQ has spiked your BP. Everytime I run EQ, I am running a higher BP than normal. I usually contain it by extra H2O intake (much like when on tren.) I have a client that is on the same med as you and is running a test / tren cycle and the only side that he notices is a little fatigue.

If the doctor or nurse checked your BP while on a cycle of steroids it is possible that it was elevated for that reason,,or maybe it is elevated off cycle as well...i would invest in a digital BP cuff,,(which you can purchase from any pharmacy or walmart type stores). As for the safety of HCTZ while using anabolic steroids.. i do not see any contraindications regarding anabolic steroids and HCTZ..but a dosage adjustment may be needed because your baseline BP can change during on and off cycle...HCTZ is a good first line medication for hypertension ,,very often prescribed..dirt cheap to buy..good side effect profile..monitor your BP and eat a diet rich in potassium...again it is always good to talk to your physician about this
I am on 25 mg atenolo and 5 mg norvasc for high bp before ass and i am on a 10 week 500mg sus in 4th week and my bp is 124/80 so i guess there still working. sus doesnt seem to bother it yet...also using aifm 1 pump a day some times 2
