I just bought myself a playstation 3. I have read a lot of reviews on HDMI cables. I hear you can buy cheap ones at radio shack and get pretty much an identical signal as you would with 150 dollar monster cables. I'm not picky but from what I understand is digital signals don't need to be shielded as compared to component.. is this true or do you get what you pay for with hdmi cables?

u ever compared them w/ monster cables? I think monster is way over priced. I think ill get the cheaper ones and see how good it looks

i dont feel a need to get an HDMI cable yet (TV doesnt support it anyways) but the PS3 games that are now available havent even tapped into the full ability of the PS3.
Same when the PS2 came out, the early games were not half as good as the later games (graphics and gameplay wise)

ya I figured that.. I also got it for the blu ray ability.. I got a 42" hdtv a couple months ago so that was part of the reason for upgrading to a ps3.. it'll b good to play online too.. u play any games online?

virtua fighter 5 (I'm gonna trade it in and get tiger woods 07)
motor squad or whatever that game is.. looks sweet

Tiger Woods '07 is fun - kinda difficult to get used to
I don't play much online and havent bought many ps3 games yet, not many out that I would spend $60 on - thank god for demos
