Hello All,

I work as a school teacher and sunject to receiving a grant, I will have a weightlifting club in the school this coming year. Anyhow, in early July I need to train like a MoFo in order to get into shape. No point in belting out instructions if I can't do it myself!!!

For pure PowerLifting strength, does anyone have links to an 8 week program prior to a meet? I'll be using 60mg of Var a day as well. Under no circumstances will juice be allowed in my club which is a bit of a double standard, but I need serious strength fast in order to get a steo ahead.

I'd love to try something different as I need someone to give me a link to an exciting training program that would take me to a new level. 5'9 80KG and a strong MoFo!

You talked a lot about the "next level" but didn't give any information on your current "level". Some more background would be helpful.

Thanks for the post. I see you are American, so I'll try to refer to Pounds, although Kilos is what I know best.

Well, don't understand Pounds, so I'll talk in plates that I used when I was in a gym in Cairo last year. Up until I stopped heavy lifting last year I could deadlift four 45LB plates on either side for reps of 3-5, I could bench 60 LBs each side for reps of 2-3, and my squat also came in at four 45LB plates each side for reps of 2-3.

Thats actually very good for someone who has been natty for well over 2 years now. I'm back a bit due to hamstring injuries and then a back injury, but recovered and willing to go. Trained recently at 25% less than what i mentioned above, but I recover fast.

So, I want to return quickly to the results I mention in the first paragraphs, but then go beyond. I'll be using Var to speed things up, but not as a substitute for effort.

Hell, i'd say ur strong as it is. I remember being in highschool and thinking my lacrosse coach was really strong cause he could bench with 67.5 kilos on each side.

as per program, id say something like a westside barbell program. They seem to do real well for more advanced lifters who want pure strength. i'm sure the var will help, although i have no specific experance or references to anything specific.

I train Westside.

Illuminati posted a recent thread in this forum that contains a basic Westside template you'd find useful if you'd want to train this way.

Two of the more popular links to try are:

Westside Barbell: Westside

elitefitness.com :elitefts
This site also has many usefull links to other places

Recently I've been using the Coan-Phillipi Deadlift and the Squat program which I've found to be very effective and might be usefull to you if you've got just a short timeframe to run a single cycle The link to this is: Coan-Phillipi Dead You can access the squat program from this page.

Best of luck with your new club!
