Ok, now I'm not trying to start a look at me thread or anything but it has been touched on in the RIP thread and I need to get this off my chest.
Guardian was a great guy, not just to us here on EF but from what I gather to everyone that he encountered in his life. Even though I only met him in person one time, he was very willing to welcome me to his gym, give me advice and hold a nice conversation with me on a day he was running short on time. I truly feel like our "community" has lost a soul that can never be replaced, a genuinely good hearted, intelligent person. RIP
That being said, we are all in shock, it has been just over 2 weeks since his passing and just under a few days for us in the EF world to absorb all the information and deal with the feelings. I can't even imagine how those really close to him are feeling. I think it is our responsibility as his "friends" to at the very least not cause them more pain with our speculation.
However.......we need to be realistic. Unfortunately you can guarantee that the topic of aas has or will come up regarding his passing. His close family will find out about EF, if they haven't already, and if his wife didn't know about his "lifestyle", she will. There is no way a 31yr old in the shape he was in and with the healthy lifestyle he was in will go un investigated, by someone. It is simply unrealistic to think so.
So what do we do as a community? That's what I'm asking. Unfortunately I think we should be prepared to help because I really believe there is going to be a storm coming our way. What would guardian want regarding this topic?
