This is neither fat or sugar free, but it is full of high quality protein, carbs, and desirable fats. And it's organic and it's gluten free.
The secret weapon in this thing is Nature's Path Organic Pumpkin FlaxPlus Granola. It's a cold cereal designed to eat like any other...i.e. in a bowl with milk. IMO though that's a waste of an amazingly tasty product. They make two or three other flavors too if this one doesn't sound like your thing (check out the link further down)
Below is my recipe, but experiment with it to find the version that works for you.
In a blender add:
*About 14 ounces of water
*Two 1/3 scoops of whey protein (about 48g of protein)
*3/4 cup of Nature's Path Organic Pumpkin FlaxPlus Granola
*cinnamon to taste
*dash of nutmeg
Trust me this stuff is freaking awesome.
10g of fat in a serving, but only 1.6 saturated. No cholesterol. 37 carbs, most of which are complex lower GI carbs. 10g sugar, but it's offset by 5g of fiber which slows the gastric emptying enough to avoid much of the blood glucose bump.
I've seen it by the box in grocery stores, but the big econo pack from Vitacost is only 25 cents an ounce.
Nature's Path Organic Pumpkin FlaxPlus Granola Eco-Pac -- 26.4 oz Each / Pack of 6 - Vitacost
