Can someone explain WHY the hell this happens? Ok, you're drinking a coke and burp, but let the burp out through your nose instead, and it burns like a mofo! Why does this happen?

teeth are protected by enamel, but only to an extent, that's why you can get cavities.


the stomach, on the other hand, is protected with a lining. if that lining were gone, then the hydrochloric acid would eat away everything... that's what happens when you get acid reflux, the acids eat away at the esophagus, etc..



a chippy once told me he carried a litre of it in back of his cruiser, to remove stubborn blood stains.
