A Question on "Sin"...???

Isaac and Ishmail...someone should have busted them both over the head with a brick.

OK you earned an OUTSTANDING on the explination on Abraham, and adding to that, it was also before the Ten Commandments as well....Heh heh heh heh

Good job all the way around folks!!!

So you mean to tell me if I am a soldier and at the moment that I took the life of the enemy I was thinking, "Die YOU COMMIE BASTARD!" - taking the life of a father and husband who was only protecting the land that he was born on, then God would look past the fact that I just killed a scared young man who was only trying to defend his land from a foreign soldier that was only obeying HIS commanding officer who was only obeying HIS government that sent them thier to protect THIER political interest? Well, my intent WAS TO KILL HIM, so where does that leave me?

Excuse me mom but I think, "DIE YOU COMMIE BASTARD IS MY LINE", and it is entirely out of context in this thread.

Ummmmmm , the last I heard you were hangin' with FLEXED1. So any comment about you "servicing" females is AUTOMATICALLY NULL AND VOID.

No one ever thought that the concept of sin is the way of the church to enforce laws through fear?

Then it makes sense suddenly that blasphemy is such a bad sin,for it is what undermines the authority of your spiritual leader the most.

It is quite clever to declare natural feelings everyone has and which are accepted as being not positive as sins, like lust or wrath.
So that makes everyone a sinner and the only way to not end in hell is to live a faithful life so that your sins are forgiven.
And a faithful life means following the rules of your church.

Interesting concept. Brings to mind one of my confirmation questions (Yes, I still FUCKING remember! LOL):

What are the consequences of sin?

"Death and damnation are the consequences of sin."

Any opinions?
