A question for anyone that has had a heart attack

What does a heart attack feel like before it happens? I ask because I am getting this pain in the muscle around my heart, kind of like cramping. I can feel it when I puff my chest out. I think it is just a normal muscle thing but it is enough to make me nervous.

I've never had a heart attack bro,but you sound overlly nervous to me.You know you can ,and I do get gas in my upper body,it can even effect your chest,or armpit at that matter. But if it persists, see a doc.

Once during a work out I felt a sharp pain as you do. I dropped to the floor and couldnt move. I could barely make it to the car. I went to the doc the next day and he said it was probably a gas bubble. Shit freaked me out. Just try to relax maybe see a doc to make you feel better.

A heart attack is usually a dull ache or "heavy" feeling in the chest, arm (left side), neck, or jaw and face may become tingly. I have been told it almost feels like someone is stepping on your chest...continuous pressure. It is usually not a sharp pain or classic cramp feeling. But remember..I said usually..symptoms definitely vary. I sometimes get a pain in my left side, and if I inhale deeply..it FREAKIN KILLS...it scared the Creatine right out of me on many occasions..turns out it is just tight serratus and diaphram. Dont mess around though..any doubts get to a doc!

But you could be better safe then sorry to go see a doc.. I know a little girl who had a heart attack and she was 7. So you never know.

I had a similar concern when I was on a heavy Dbol cycle when I was younger.

I was experiencing seroius heart palpitations.

My girlfriend at the time was even able to feel the Kick in my chest.

Naturally I was very nervous. Went to the doctor and was told not to worry.

After some discussion I understood what was causing.
Basically he said the following to me.

"The symptoms of palpitations vary from patient to patient with some common features. A perception of irregularity of the pulse, an uneasiness in the chest, a flip-flopping in the chest; frequently people describe their palpitations as "my heart stops." Certainly a feeling of strong pulse throughout the chest, head and neck could well be described as a palpitation. Occasionally palpitations can be perceived in unusual ways including a general sense of uneasiness, and quite often the palpitations are associated with lightheadedness or even loss of consciousness".

My personal explination was the Flip Flop in the Chest.. Fealt like I skipped a beat and the following beat was really Strong. "Hense, the Thud in the chest"

NOTE:

The most common substance associated with palpitations is caffeine

So, if your on a strong ECA type stack then this may be the culprit..

So you know, the irregularity of the heart rhythm per se usually does no damage to the heart itself.

If you feel any pain in your chest when you expand your lungs or get a "Thump" beat. Don't worry...

The stress alone can bring on a heart attack.

One time at band camp...

I was diagnosed with myocarditis. This is when a virus causes the middle layer of heart muscle to become inflamed and irritated, causing symptoms similar to a heart attack. I felt a squeezing sensation in the center of my chest. The pain was unrelenting. Once it begin there was nothing I could do to stop it. I was sweating and truly felt like I was going to die. Although it felt like a heart attack, it was not. A % of my heart was damaged as a result. If I did not go to the doctor and get antibiotics, the damage could have been much worse. Please get checked out.

Go to any doc or ER and they all have EKG machines. It takes like 5 minutes and they'll tell you if you've had one. Why not just go and put your mind at ease bro. To my knowledge that kind of pain is not indicative of a heart attack.
