Asian chics/White guys, what's goin on with that? A non-biased interactive study.

People let's keep this civilized.
I've noticed a an increase in Asian/White couples. The guy is an average looking white dude and the woman is a cute Asian chic. Never vice versa. How come there aren't more Black/White couples? Even in the media and movies they show more White Guy/Oriental Girl type relationships. I feel bad for Asian guys. Must be tough for them to get a chic.
Why is this? I'm not asking for your personal experiences but why does White/Asian seem to be more acceptable than Black/White?

Well I can only speak for my area, (Toronto) and they're is every kind of combination imagineable here.
 
The only thing i know about this is that alot of norwegian males, who looks are below average, seems to take a trip to Asia, and comes back a month later with a Asian bride....love at first sight?
 
White - Asian interracial couples don't have the same amount of Negative Stigma associated with them that Black - White couples do in my experience.

I do know that Over in Asian local country culture, mixed race marriages are frowned upon. Especially in Japan.

my boyfriend is half chinese...i guess i never really thought of us as an "interracial couple."

race was never an issue between us - when we first started dating, i wasn't even sure what nationality he was...at 6' 200lbs, he doesn't exactly look like the stereotypical chinese man.
 
Most of the Asian guys born in North America are pretty cool and I see them getting with white girls all the time with ease. A stereotypical chinese male probably won't be attractive to most North American girls at all for a lot of reasons. A North American girl won't fill his requirements either.

Of course, white culture might frown on a girl getting with an Asian guy, and smile on a white guy getting an Asian girl. There is always consolidation of power among males mostly. All cultures do this, and North American white culture is probably more open than most.

Hey I'm from T.O. as well, what part are you from? lol

Yup over here there is every kind of combination! That's the beauty of this city! Soooo diverse nobody stands out (in a bad way).
 
Ffactor: You know, I would have to actively "look" and do a tally for the white girl/asian guy scenerio. There's not one combination that visibly outnumbers the others here, I find. It's definately one of the main things I love about this place.

Hey Mister: I'm living in Mississauga right now, but was in Parkdale & High Park before. Where abouts are you?
 
I wonder if it is a light skin, dark skin thing, i.e. Asian Girls have lighter skin tone than black girls which makes them more acceptable?
 
I'm right on the border with Mississauga, but in Etobicoke. May possibly move to Yonge and Eglinton in the near future. Anything interesting going on in Mississauga?

Ffactor where we are you see every single type of combination possible. My brother is going out with an Indian girl and he is Asian. My other brother is married to a white girl. My last girlfriend was white, but I've also been with an Asian and black girls as well.

The prevailing attitude here is that it is more open-minded. I don't find interest in someone's skin colour/tone.

Is it more "acceptable"?? Not really, it is just more common so it's no different.

Phew, Yonge & Eglinton = very high rent.... :) Miss is perfect for me, (I'm near Square 1) close enough to go out to all the T.O. clubs, but far enough that I don't have to deal with the annoyingness of parking/driving downtown.

DING DING DING! We have a winner!
It's the whole mandingo buck thing. Only blacks have a real history of being second class citizens in the US, save for a brief period in WII. To be honest I don't even view an asian/white couple as interracial. Personally I consider Asians and Hispanics to be white for all intents and purposes.
 
Thnaks for the answers, very enlightening. It all came to me when I was watching some commercial yesterday and I saw an Asian/ White couple, the girl being asian and the guy being white. You also see a lot of white couples adopting asian kids but not black. So I was just wondering.
 
Errr, I've noticed 100% the opposite..Lot more black guys with white (overweight blonde) girls.

I never ever have seen a black girl with a white guy where Im ar. But I have seen a so so amount of white guys with asian girls, but no, never have I seen any asian guys with white or any other kind of girls. They are either with their own ethnicity or single.

It's the media. I've recently developed strong sexual urges for black women with big tight butts. I find them extremely sexy and erotic and just writing about it now is giving me a humongous woody and making me touch myself which is not good because I'm in my office and anybody might walk in.

Yeah no kidding!! I'm only considering moving in with a friend, and he pays I think almost $1000 in RENT!!! lol! That's the turn off of course.

Ah how nice living near Square 1. I live near Woodbine Mall myself at present. You ever go to that one? I prefer Sherway and Yorkdale Mall.

That is usually the norm where I am from. Miscegenation is sick disturbing trend. From what I can garner, folks who engage in this practice tend to come from less than solid families.
 
Never see black chics with white dudes. Must be some stigma in the black community towards sistas who like white guys. Always see big white chics with black dudes.

Yeah, it's insane. An ex of mine lives there, $1100 a month. He can't afford a car. It's ridiculous! And the place isn't even all that nice, it's decent but not $1100-a-month-nice!

Hey, my cousin lives near Woodbine, we go there every now and then when I'm over visiting. Sherway is really nice, but again $$$, and Yorkdale is cool too, love that Rainforest Cafe with the salt water aquariums. :D

No one is safe from media glorification affecting what they are attracted to.

If the media started pimping anorexic siamese twins as the hot thing, guaranteed the majority of the population would start to find them sexually attractive.

And I know what you're getting at. The topic was based on race. Not left haded or brown hair, or hairy assed. let's leave it at that. Perception is a gift and I'm using it.
 
I see every kind of couple imaginable in Manhattan. Especially around the extremely liberal colleges here.

A lot of guys like women who are smaller than them, and Asian women widely fit this desire. There really aren't as many negative stereotypes that Asians face relative to Blacks. Asian stereotypes involve being very smart, having a hard work ethic, and having small penises. That last one doesn't matter for straight guys, so Asian women are fair game.

Same here. I still cant get over how Puerto Ricans can say they're not white. I think a lot of people confuse nationality with race.
