a question about HIIT.

Would tennis or squash be classed as HIIT, I mean there's lots of standing around and walking but there is also a lot of high intensity rallies where you are sprinting (as well as lunging) back and forth???
Thanx!

no, usually the intervals are timed, and there is a prescribed amount of low intensity. its not just stand around, then run. its pushing your heartrate up near max levels, then allowing it to return to medium levels while moving still.

I would also say no, because with a HIIT you keep your heart rate up for an period longer than just a burst, like you would do in Tennis. I usually do 30 sec on/off or 1 min on/off for anywhere from 6 to 15 minutes.
