Some Advice

Feel the cleche of a young lad wanting to learn how to street fight.

Some background information

Age: 16
Weight 159 pounds
Sport: Swim four times a week, Gym four times a week
Bodyfat%: 11%
Water stamina: Amasing
Land stamina: Poor
Reason for wanting to learn to fight: Im frankly an underconfident person who is really all mouth, i have really got the build for being able to "fend off hostility" but i never seem to ahve the confidence to do it. I no NOT want to learn how to start fights, i want to know how to beat the crap out of people who think they are bigger than me, most of it is normally multiple attackers but im sure if i broke one in a punch the others would leave, they are all mouth.
I also would like to increase my stamina on land and in general.

I however have restraints, i want a good trainer, ive heard ALOT about people who are in this for the money.
My training has to be around my schooling.
Some training would be done either in my (well equipped) gym at home.

I would like to know a few things, the best type of martial arts for my situation build and frankly weedyness. The best types of training i can do at home to increase my stamina on land. The best type of training i can do at the gym so i can stop someone with a punch.

Running and jumping rope will help with your land stamina.

Work basic exercises to build a core of strength and you will be able to hit with more power and be able to take a hit/kick better.

Bench, Squat, Deadlift, Pull Ups

Stretching for flexibility and injury prevention

A bodybuilders diet to build muscle and keeping you lean.
