A hypothetical garbage disposal quesiton

Ok say someone accidentally poured a bunch of chicken bones down a garbage disposal and a bone accidentally got stuck in there
how do u get it unstuck? besides sticking your hand in there?

You'd have to take it apart....is it stuck in the disposal itself or in the trap (ie the pipes)??

There should be an allen wrench type socket at the bottom of the disposal. Look underneath it and you will see it. Insert the right size wrench and you should be able to manually move it around until the bones are chopped up, or released so you can fish them out by hand.

Unplug it first before you put your hand down there.

Kill the power by hitting the circuit breaker if you're that worried, put your hand in there an yank it out. This isn't a horror movie. Your hand will not be chewed up by the garbage disposal monster. I have one and have done it many times. Though I don't need to flip the breaker off, I'm not that scared.

i used to go get teaspoons stuck in my parents..my step dad would get so pissed off...he always just reached his hand in and pulled it out, obviously it is a lot larger than a chicken bone though.....i think jack schitt had the right idea
