Aren't they all with our shoddy, ocular system? Given that all visualization of 3D is in the amalgamation process within the brain and the recent advent of 'computer graphics', despite the obvious 'looseness' of suggesting it's 3D, I think it's a reasonable vernacular to refer to 'cubes' within the optical oddity.
