A few things... First off, props to The Gates...

Melinda and Bill Gates have donated $24 BILLION to 3rd world countries, mostly Haiti. Check out this link...http://www.msnbc.com/news/694130.asp?pne=msn

It's amazing that one with so much money, does not forget the poorest of poor. And, to you people that will bitch and moan to this effect 'Fuck them, what the fuck do we care about Haiti for, we should care for ourselves.' Well, that kind of attitude is exactly what makes what the Gates are doing so great. Because, all the money in the world wouldn't make them forget, or not care about people that are literally starving, and about the 11 million people that are dying every year by infections that can be treated for pennies. For this fact, I give the Gates props.

Okay, next note...

Take a look at the picture at the top of the link. Just something to think about here... Do you think they may be in Haiti, or some other shitworld country, due to their karma they have set for themselves? Meaning, because of their action's in another life, they have been placed where they are to see suffering first hand. Example, last life time the black woman before your eyes in the picture could have been Melinda or Bill Gates. Yet, they didn't care about things that didn't effect them. Things such as hunger and health for other's were not an issue for them. They had food and health, so why should they care about some 3rd world shit country? And, because of their insensitive nature, because of their inability to see the whole picture, their suffering now is a direct relation to their past life, and this is their lesson. I believe in karma, and I believe this isn't far from truth.

One more thing... I hope you all have a great day, and realize that you all have love to share within your heart's. There is no need to bottle that up for the 2 or 3 people in your immediate family... there's so much love to share with the world, don't bottle it up. Greet people with a kind hello, and leave them with a 'Have a great day.' That small action may put a smile on someone's face... and that smile can make a big difference for the rest of their day, and to everyone they encounter.

And, when you go outside and see the beautiful sunshine and feel the breeze of the wind, remember...

"Well, it's not far down to paradise, at least it's not for me
And if the wind is right you can sail away and find tranquility
Oh, the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see.
Believe me.

It's not far to never-never land, no reason to pretend
And if the wind is right you can find the joy of innocence again
Oh, the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see.
Believe me.

Sailing takes me away to where I've always heard it could be
Just a dream and the wind to carry me
And soon I will be free

Fantasy, it gets the best of me
When I'm sailing
All caught up in the reverie, every word is a symphony
Won't you believe me?

Sailing takes me away to where I've always heard it could be
Just a dream and the wind to carry me
And soon I will be free

Well it's not far back to sanity, at least it's not for me
And if the wind is right you can sail away and find serenity
Oh, the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see.
Believe me.

Sailing takes me away to where I've always heard it could be
Just a dream and the wind to carry me
And soon I will be free"

Very admirable. But I could have used some of his money too. So can the bum that lives outside the offices of my building.

Maybe he should of just sent them a bunch of first class inner tubes so they can sneak into our country

What could you have used the money for? To pay off your car, your house, and other items you don't need? Would you prefer you get to pay off your vanity item's, and let the other's die because they had no food, or die because they couldn't afford penicillin? Do you see why some people 'hate' America John?
Selfish and greedy people are predominant here. You seem to be walking proof of that.

Hey MrMuscle... excellent song... who sings it bro?

Would you two anal insertion queens please get a room somewhere. Karma has nothing to do with any notion of past lives.

why do people think that bill gates(or anybody else rich as hell) owes them money. bill gates gives hatii and other third-world countries 24 billion and the first words out of peoples mouth is "why dont he give some of that money to me or the bum on the corner". talk about selfish.

someone saying how bill gates should donate his money. and wanting some of it. thats selfish, and rediciculous.

i guess jim morrison was right, people ARE strange.

Who are you referring to?

And if karma exists, and multiple lives, then your karma would follow or place you in your next place of existance. No?

Some Righteous words in there and great advice. Live day by day, not in the past, not in the future, Jah will provide. If Karma exists, it would effect your present life, now I'm not positive but I don't think karma would have an effect on a reincarnated soul, if reincarnation occurs. Karma if anything is about your present life, in my opinion, course some Hindus would disagree with me, but then again, they eat raw shit coming out of a cow's ass for a sacred ceremony leaving them with some putrid ass breath and no credibility with havoc whatsoever. Many get karma mixed up with coincidence. I know this though, whatever energy you put out, be it positive or negative, you're going to receive that energy back in some form, now its that "some form" you have to seperate into whatever you want it to be. peace my niiiiggggas

You don't even know me so how do you know I walk? Maybe I'm a fish.

It's nice to know that you realized you were being selfish, and this assanine statement of your's was the best thing you could do to save yourself from having answer my question and to look at yourself deeply. When you do, the result is beauty. Whether you swim or walk, Spongebob's post reflects the selfish way in which you were thinking, and probably do everyday.

Only you have the power to change that.

Becuase karma only exist in the moment. Now. You don't carry it with you. It is simply that which you are doing now.

You may feel a certain way for some reason about something and attract a reciprocal event in your life to help your morals balance or your sense of belonging balance out but that's not karma that's having a conscience.

well as nice as MR Gates has been he's not exactly an angel either.

For example, Xboxes are not built in america. They are built in 3rd world countries (central amierica if I'm not mistaken) where employee wages are low and pollution standards are nonexistant, making it much much cheaper to buld, costing americans jobs and hurting the environment.

Here's my idea...

Refer to my sig... ""Tomorrow is a result of today, and you are the result of yesterday."

Meaning, the choices we made yesterday, put us where we are today. The choices we make today, make us who we are tomorrow. No matter how big or small the decision. You see an ant walking on the sidewalk and simply step over it, rather than killing it for no reason. Karma. When a store clerk makes a mistake and gives you back more money than you should have gotten back... we will pay for the decisions we make, every day of our lives. Let's relect on the people that explain their life with the “I get shit on all the time” phrase? This person refuses to accept any responsibility for the result of his actions. For the results of his actions. The circumstances he faces now are a result of him. Of his karma, I should say. Karma is described in the dictionary as the force generated by a person’s actions held in Hinduism and Buddhism to perpetuate transmigration and in its ethical consequences to determine the nature of the person’s next existence. Read the description carefully and think about its meaning for a moment. It is not merely a “coincidence” that this person “gets shit on all the time”; it is his demeanor and actions that cause him to be in that particular existence. Every moment in our quest in life is an existence. The reason his bad karma continues for his life is because he does not look at himself deeply; spiritually. He doesn’t look at himself honestly, and because he does not, he doesn’t change and his karma continues. He is constantly causing himself to be placed in an existence of bad karma, without even realizing that he is simply the result of his actions. A coincidence? I doubt it. In fact I don't believe in a coincidence at all. The word coincidence is described in the dictionary as the occurrence of events that happen at the same time by accident but seem to have some connection. When we are children we don’t question those two descriptions. Merriam-Webster has described the two words as they are above, and when we are tested for vocabulary in elementary school the above answers are correct. As we grow older, we start to question a lot of events in life in wonder about reasons. The word coincidence has the word accident in the description. There is no such thing as an accident. That is the way we look at it in life maybe, but in actuality this situation has come to be because of something we have done. Whether positive or negative we are in a constant quest in life, and this "coincidence" as we call it, has become a part of it. Be righteous in your day to day decisions, and you will be rewarded. If you don't believe me... try it for a month. Things just start to get easier when you have positive karmic energy.

why?

I'm not saying Gates is an evil man or anything. I just wanted to point out something people maybe didn't know. Or are you commenting on my unfunny voodoo curse post earlier in this thread.

Alright Nature boy...

'For example, Xboxes are not built in america. They are built in 3rd world countries (central amierica if I'm not mistaken)'

What company doesn't?

'where employee wages are low'

Will you or your kids work for .10 an hour? No? Will you buy yourself or kids an x-box for $300.00? That's what they cost now, with these wages... would you buy an x-box for $600 simply because it was made by Americans?

'making it much much cheaper to buld,'

And buy.

'costing americans jobs and hurting the environment.'

American's won't work for what other people will in other countries. I came out with a thread 'BUY AMERICAN' and everyone here explained why that isn't an option at times. And, they were right. Shit would cost too much if we made it all here. Plain and simple. Also, the people that make those boxes, for 'pennies', those pennies are sufficient for their economy. They don't make x-boxes and starve all day. Take these low paying job's away, and they wouldn't be able to eat. At that point, pollution is irrelevant.

For right or wrong... the majorities of company do as Bill Gates does.

It's the same as everyone that thinks Gates owes more than $1M to the 9/11 fund.

The man is donating what 90% of all Americans couldn't make in 30 generations and people have to bad mouth him.

Fucking Steve Jobs fanatics!

Ok so I'm not a fish...you got me. and yeah I could use the money....anybody could. my grandparents are getting on in their years and soon will need to be put in a home and have constant care. I'm the one that'll need to foot half the bill. is that ok if take care of my family or should I focus my energies on those that hate selfish and greedy people like me?

You're right. Anybody could use the money, but not everyone NEEDS the money. That is the key difference John. You want the money so you can put your grandparent's into a nice place and be taken care of. Definately commendable, and understandable.
You don't need the money because grandma hasn't had access to antibiotic's and is going to buy the farm as a result. Again, understandably, you want to put her up in a resort type Hilton for her final years. A necessity? No. A desire? Yes. Take a moment to read this...

And though Haiti has a population of 8 million, you get the feeling that everyone knows each other. WE ARE SORRY TO WELCOME YOU IN THIS CONDITION, says a large sign on the dilapidated wall. WE ARE WORKING HARD TO IMPROVE YOUR COMFORT. The crowds of people outside are carrying babies and Bibles, not machetes. And as you quickly discover, most are struggling desperately to get by. Cite Soleil, the capital’s front door, is a 27-square-mile slum where an estimated 1 million people live in shanties lacking plumbing, electricity or permanent roofs. The living standard rises steadily as you pass through the downtown area and into the hilly suburbs, but electrical service is sporadic even in the business district, where trash piles smolder on dusty, pitted roads and abandoned car chassis double as fences. Per capita income stands at $1.26 a day in Haiti, and health-care spending averages $16 per year. One child in nine dies before reaching school age. “Sa Poun Fe?” pleads a popular dance tune: What can we do?

I don't have or need a car right now. But lets say I did need one to get to work. Is it wrong for me to have one than? And how is it you think that people don't need homes...where should we live?

I'm glad you don't need a car right now... if you needed one, no, it would not be wrong to go buy one. But, should Bill Gates instead buy you a car, or buy things that people NEED. You will never NEED a car. Nobody does. Let's say Bill says, screw the Haiti people, instead he wants to buy you a car. Even a $10,000 heaper. Now, above it shows that health care cost $16 per year for someone in Haiti. So, Kingjohn can either have a car, or 625 people will have the shots and vaccine's they need... to live to see gradeschool. Do you still want that free car? We must look outside ourselves to see truth.

You are right a lot of people do hate America. I shouldn't have to change so they like me. Do you think they would reciprocate if given the same opportunity? I don't.

I don't know if they would or not John. If the shoe were on the other foot, would you want them too? Of course you would. You would look at their car's and tall buildings, and then you look at your baby that will most likely become just another death due to insufficient health care provided. And why? Because you happened to be born in Haiti rather than the U.S.? Would you want someone that was capable to save your child to do so, or to buy another $300,000 car? We don't know if they would return the favor John... that's not their test. Survival is. We're up too bat now, it's our turn, and it's our test. It has been said by a great man, Jesus, that 'it is almost as impossible for a wealthy man to enter the Kingdom of God as it is a camel through the eye of a needle.' We must look outside ourselves.

And whats wrong with taking care of people in need right here where we live? I absolutely don't think BGATES was WRONG in donating money, but I would have done it differently. But its his loot and those are the breaks. I'll keep working for my money.

I'm sure you would have done something different. If you asked a million people, you'd probably get a million different answers. If they are donating at all, is there really a wrong answer? I wouldn't think so. The Gates have decided that health, that providing minimum living conditions to people in miserable circumstances is a better and greater deed than buying materialistic, monetary items, such as car's and house's for people that already have these bare minimum necessitie's of life, more than readily available to them. Shelter's feed homeless daily. A person doesn't HAVE to go hungry in the U.S., no matter how poor. No matter how poor, they will still get the health care they need. The truth is, The Gates went and saw what having 'nothing' really means. If you had the same experience, and you were to go see the people and the suffering in Haiti, I doubt you would choose to drive away in your car Bill gave you over the 625 lives that car would spare. The Gates realized this, they saw true suffering, and made a decision to change it the best they could.

I don't think I ever asked so many questions in a single post LOL. But I'm trying to help you see where I'm coming from.

Then... shouldn't you have provided answers instead... ;)

Can you see where Bill is coming from?
