so i've been on vacation from work, recovering from some deadly form of bronchitis, and reconnected with some old friends, so i've been busy.
here's a few of the latest posts I should have made, condensed into one:
Happy new year. My actual new years eve was uneventful. I was sick and hubby and I just went to sleep early. i am, thoroughly enjoying my vacation, except that my studio is so cold that I can't work in there for long with this fever i had. i'm dying to get to work and clean it up and set up some of my new tools.
i found out that my childhood friend- a girl who was my best friend growing up, in my wedding, and who's son i took care of when she left her first husband... is going blind. she has inoperable cancer and is quickly losing her eyesite. she has had to stop driving, will be giving up her job soon (she's a high school physics teacher) is getting a seeing eye dog, and by this time next year, won't be able to see at all.
it's sad and scary and makes me upset that we lost touch.
