A dog to run...

I like to run at around 4am or so on a lot of days I don't work. My parents and man always say it isn't safe(because there's no one else around) and they say I should get a dog or something to go with me. They have been saying this for years but I was thinking... and a dog to run with me might be fun. It would be nice to have a dog. I would need to wait a few months until until I move but what kind of dog would like to run? Any ideas? I have a few months to think about it.

bad idea.. some dogs make good runners, but in many cases they don't... they are good for walking, not running.

damn he is the lasted dude trying to get in your pants?

latest dude i meant.

you are quite popular.

He MADE Me do a lot of REALLY nasty, dirty things... but I think I liked it and want to do it again. :p
J/K!!!!!!!!! But really, he's a really super nice great guy. He's actually helped me with a lot lately. :) I'm really thankful to have found such a good bro. U2, Lestat. U are a good bro.

I really need to get ready for work in a few. :worried: Time to go play mean ambulance lady with the bigg needles...lol. Have a good night, everyone. :)

If it's for protection/running a lab will do just fine.

If it's just for a running partner get an Austrailian cattle dog. My pal has one and they do trail runs all the time, that dog just never tires.

what about a labrador? arent they running dogs? i THINK they are...or greyhounds are running dogs too...so they should be ok to run with...i think any dog can BECOME a runner if you start it up running at a young age...dont go out and buy a small ass dog and then think it will be a marathon runner and able to keep up with you though...dogs are such fun to go on a walk/run with rather than going alone...you will have more fun i think once you get it...let us know how you do :qt:

Once it's not a puppy anymore it'll kick your ass at running. It'll have to be well trained to stay with your slow ass. :)

Huskies are natural runners..they actually require it so it may be a motivator on a day when you don't want to run!
