A Cooking Tip

I asked John Romano about foods he likes for someone during prep and he answered:

One of the things I like to do is make soup. Into two cups of low sodium chicken broth, you can cook your chicken breast with a ton of veggies (and if you're eating carbs you can add your rice, pasta or potatoes too), and spice it up with all kinds of herbs. Hot sauce if you like. It's filling, it take a while to eat, and it's not dry!

Sounds good.
So you cook the raw chicken right in the chicken broth? Or cook it first then dump it in?
