Hi there to all. Just wanted some advice on cutting up. I'm starting the gym again after about 8 months off, this was due to some personal issues going on which kind of threw me off course. My current stats are. age 25. height 6.0, weigh 275 pounds at around 35% b/f. Goal right now is to get to about 200 pounds or around 8% b/f. Im planning on dieting for around 20 wks but can go longer if need be. Just want to give myself enough time without rushing things. Before my lengthy break I had been training for 5 years pretty much 5 days a week with some real good gains. Managed to stay around 10% b/f and got to 8% once. I have done 4 or 5 cycles before but haven't used any gear in the last 2 years.

I don't plan on using any gaer for at least the first 16 weeks as I know that gear don't burn fat and I would probably be wasting it using it whilst i'm at such a high b/f. I realsie that a sound diet and training routine with cardio will strip the fat off. MY questions are:

1. Should I use a fat burner right from the start or wait untill the fat becomes harder to lose? If i should then would a eca stack be enough or should I use moreor something different. I have read here that yohimburn is very good.

2. Should I start my cardio right from the beginning or lose as much b/f as possible through the diet first?

3. Which form of cardio is best, is the jogging on the treadmill o.k or does that burn too much muscle?

4. I know that the general rule re protein is 1g per pound of bodyweight but as my 275 pounds is not all muscle, would it make more sense to take in around 220g?

5. I was going to start on nearly 3000 kcals, is that too much/little?

6. Is there any other supplements besides protein powder that I should use?

Sorry for the lengthy post, just wanted to give as much info as poss. Btw, great board, reading the info has helped me in many aspects of my life. All advice much appreciated, thanks!

Hey man,
Tried to PM you but your storage space is full. Don't mean to be too nosy but just wondering what exactly could have possibly derailed you to the point of letting yourself go to 35% bodyfat? The main reason I'm asking is because I've been through some shit myself and had to take all in all nearly 8 months off myself. I was once down to 7% b fat at 6'3 225 lbs. then got seriously hooked on pain killers. Everything went straight down from there, ...got real depressed, even suicidal, had to be hospitalised because I tried to hang myself. Lucky for me I was so loaded up at the time I couldn't even kill myself (I fucked up the knot and it broke..I fell asleep cause I was so messed up....Poor Mom found me in the garage with the bed sheet tied around my neck ..she thought I was dead...I don't know if I'll ever be able to forgive myself for putting her through that) because of drug dependence...pain killers...gained a bunch of weight, went to jail for 2 months, rehab, and lost my girl as a consequence as well as other things(ie trust of family and friends, self respect). That was a little over a year ago year ago and I'm slowly working my way back. Sometimes I get a little anxious and I want it all at once. But then I'm just happy to be off the pain killers and fully awake now. I've been really working out quite a bit and seeing a good doc too who knows what i'm up to and keeps track of my blood, triglycerides, mental heath,...Anyways, I guess you could say I've been given a new lease on life(lol)...sounds like Oprah talking...damn and I haven't even taken any clomid yet...Anyways, just wondering what was going on with you. You're welcome to PM me ...thought maybe I could be of some help. If you'd rather not reply then it's cool. Later. Also, just curious...How old are you?

I just turned 25 bro. To cut a long story short, I finished uni last summer, my issues really started whilst I was still there. I had a lot of family issues that were goin on at the time. Also had a few deaths in the family which I didn't take too well. From there on in I hit the alcohol again real hard having gaiven up for 3 years. I promised myself I would never start again but went back on my word. Got to the point where I was drinking every day as well as taking drugs, my friends encouraged it as they were doing the samething but for different reasons. I really messed up because my family really relied on me and I let them down in a big way. I lost my license for drink driving and have since been caught again dong the same thiong so I could be facing a a months inside, gave wrong details which didn't help. All very stupid I know but in the last year I haven't actually been thinking at all. The family issues were the biggest thing on my mind, I don't make any excuses for what I've done, just figure that I've tried everything else and it aint worked so may as well hit the gym again. it's probably the only thing taht will rescue me from this current state.

Hey and on a side note, a bit of advice on cutting up (the original question!) would be great!!

Get yourself some:

Thermorexin/CardioBreeze (depending on ability to handle stimulants)
Glucorell/Sesapure Combo
Levorex

Get on a strict 2000 calorie diet and start doing cardio for 30-40 minutes 4-5 times a week and lift those weights. Not much else to it.

Yes, I recommend using a fat burner from the start and cycling it. I'd recommend ECA as a base supplement plus check out the other suplemments from the Anabolic Store

2. Should I start my cardio right from the beginning or lose as much b/f as possible through the diet first?

Start Cardio right away

3. Which form of cardio is best, is the jogging on the treadmill o.k or does that burn too much muscle?

I highly recommend running on the treadmill every day in the morning on an empty stomach for at least 30 mins. Start at a lower time for the running then build up from there to at least 30mins

4. I know that the general rule re protein is 1g per pound of bodyweight but as my 275 pounds is not all muscle, would it make more sense to take in around 220g?

Keep the protein as high as u can and lower the carbs and fats

5. I was going to start on nearly 3000 kcals, is that too much/little?

I think as an upper limit your intake should be around 2000 kcals

6. Is there any other supplements besides protein powder that I should use?

Stick to Whey protein and the above mentioned supplements u should be fine

I hope this helps.. Best of luck bro

Thanks. Just a concern about the 2000 kcals, if I take in say 250g of protein and 250g of carbs thats already 2000 kcals, so what about the kcals needed from fat? Should I drop the carbs say to 100g to compensate for fats or is that too low? Also I understand that I will drop fat on 2000 kcals but when I stop losing fat after a while will it be safe to drop below 2000 kcals? Sorry might be a silly question but I just want to know what cahnges can be made within the diet/kcals to keep losing fat.
